Review: Solid, Sturdy, and Versatile! The closest to a perfect camera backpack - I had the first LowePro ProTactic 450 AW and couldn't think of another bag that would be a better upgrade than the newer version of the same bag. I carry the bag around almost daily with all of my gear weighing in close to 30 lbs. After months of use, there is no visible signs of wear or issues. Gear: I'm able to fit nearly all of my daily camera gear in this bag, which makes it perfect for daily work. The ability to configure the dividers in the bag is excellent. To me, this is better than the Peak Design or the Nomadic bags because you don't have to buy additional bags to put in your main bag to organize things. Instead, everything is so accessible in this one bag. You can configure the two side openings to have access to two different items without taking the bag off your back. This is super useful all the time, whether I'm skiing, hiking, or working where I don't want to set my bag in the dirt. I have my Sony a7 with 24-70GM accessible on one side and my DJI Mavic 3 on the other. My full gear list that I'm able to fit in this one bag all at once includes: - Sony a7 with 24-70mm GM attached - A second lens (usually my Sony 16-35mm) - A zoom lens (70-200) - DJI Mavic 3 - DJI Pro Controller - DJI Mavic 3 battery, the three battery charger and the charging block - DJI Mic 2 set with case - Insta 360 - Monopod/selfie stick for Insta 360 - 2 VND filers in their protective cases - Anker 20,000 mAh battery pack - 16" laptop and large laptop charging brick - Misc. cables and a few additional charging blocks - And my snacks, business cards, and pens in the small upper side pockets. All of this in one bag and it is barely small enough to be a "personal item" under the seat on a flight! If you need additional space, you can also add extra items on the outside mesh of the bag. The configurations are excellent and the waist strap even can be removed and used to attach smaller bags if you're running around during a shoot.
Review: Excellent bag, quality with thoughtful details for photographers - I’ve had the 450 version of this bag for years and just purchased the 350 for something more travel friendly (smaller). Pros: - Rugged. This bag has a hard top and back, firm bottom, and I feel totally comfortable slinging it around or tossing it on terrain to get things in and out. I also love that the rain cover is attached (just dry it before repacking obviously) - The detail! The inner zippers zip into a protective corner so they can’t scratch your gear. There are several quick grab compartments, while keeping the main opening on your back for theft prevention. Outer zippers have pull tactical grab tabs. There are transparent inner pockets so you can see quickly what’s stored. - Hiking/lugging around: the straps are super padded and the back is fairly padded. There are adjustable waist and chest straps to distribute the weight. The waist belt can also be removed and used as a utility belt. There are a ton of places to attach items to the outside like a tripod or water bottle with carabiners or straps - Durability: I’ve had my 450 for about four years and it genuinely looks as good as it did when I got it. It’s been tossed on dirt, sand, rocks, and you wouldn’t know it. Fit: there’s so much room for gear and lenses. The best part is, I can fit my 600mm while attached to the body and still several other lenses! Cons: because of the durability and ruggedness, it’s a little bulky and heavy. Also, the 350 is not very wide - which suits my needs for travel but, does mean some taller lenses may need to be laid on their side vs standing up.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Serious quality. Best so far.
*by R***W on August 16, 2025*

I've been through a bunch of camera / gear packs and bags over the years. This one is by far the best. Works for carry on even in regional jets. And it's an absolute beast quality wise. Solid heavy duty zippers. Solid handles and straps. Great padding assortment. Serious protection for your gear. Can fit 2 - Nikon Z8 bodies plus a 600 mm Nikon Z f6.3 VR S, a Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD, Nikon Z 24mm f1.8 S, Nikon 105 MC f2.8 S and a Viltrox AF 16mm f1.8. Or swap out 2 of the smaller lenses for a Nikon Z 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 S. Tripod on the outside. Plus ND and polarized filters for all. 2 straps, back up cards, asst micro cloths, 6 batteries and charger, remote trigger, yada yada. This thing has been carried and beaten around in my truck and car all across the country many times for the last year. Zero issues. My only complaint would be the expense and I wish I could fit the 100-400 too as my entire kit would then be in one bag. I want to order the iii version but it's only 3 liters bigger...28l vs this one at 25l...and hard to justify the cost to be able to carry one more lens. Maybe. But even now it's way too heavy completely loaded for realistic hiking. Mostly used for transport. If I'm going to hike with it I'll remove half that list and only take whats needed. I much prefer this to hard cases like Pelican and such. So much easier to carry around and toss in the car. Fwiw....tried the K&F 32 liter bag at 1/5th the price. It's garbage. Don't bother. Buy this. Save your pennies and spend the extra cash. You won't regret it. Highly recommend.
