Review: Works, but quirky - Seems to be protocol-compatible with similar (poorly documented) Chinese products, but has some unexpected hidden stateful behavior that took a while to work around with software. It did work out okay in the end.
Review: Buyer Beware - I'm well versed in Electronics and Computer Technology. So buying this board looked like a Rather Safe Cautious bet even though many others gave up for various reasons, mostly because the seller does not provide even a basic printout for implementing this Circuit Board. Do your research on this board, and you will find how the TCP/IP interface works. You will also find it has some serious flaws, One is the MAC address is hard coded, and IMHO that's about as dumb as it gets. By default it uses 192.168.1.4:3000 The board otherwise seemed ok and pretty simple. I applied the 5-Volts to the connector and thought I was good to go, but about 2 minutes later one of the Chips started smoking.. Bummer !!! (DOA) Anyway tried to contact the seller, and no response, but this was sold as a desertcart Prime device so I just returned it and as always desertcart gave me a return authorization no charge. I did order a second board to give things a second chance, and this second board is working so far anyway for 3 days now. We'll see how that goes, and I will update. I'll also be sure to return that second board within 30 days if I get the feeling it's not going to hold up. Also note. The two small chips on the Web Interface board seem to get unusually hot for basically doing nothing. Maybe a heat sink should be used here. Also I should mention there are newer Ver 2 boards like this out from China super cheap if your willing to wait 2-3 weeks. I'll post my update in a couple weeks to hopefully say the board is still running and doing it's job. I'm cautiously happy with the second working board. But be aware you are on your own with this board. However there is plenty of information on it if you do your homework.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can http commands be sent to activate individual relays?**
A: Yes of course. That's how it works. It has a built in webpage. And an http command can indeed be sent to turn on/off any or all relays.

**Q: Can i set the board to 192.168.0.X ? Or is it set to 192.168.1.X**
A: You can change it to whatever ip you want. I use a non typical subnet and I had no issues w/ that part.

**Q: Thx, pc... broken english simply because question space char limit reached. can interlock relays be configured "by http commands via it's built in"?**
A: Yes.

**Q: What does the jumper in the corner do?**
A: It changes the power source on the board.
This was useful to me when I disconnected the relay board from the Ethernet port and used an esp32 instead. The controls run off the 3.3v but the relays themselves need 5v to work. Changing the jumper allows you to split the power source for 2 diff sources.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice ethernet relay
*by J***S on May 28, 2020*

I was looking for an ethernet relay board to control a Vacuum pump that is across the room from a CNC Router. I normaly would hardwire a contactor to do this, but in this particular installation, running a control wire was very inconvinient, even though it was just going across the room, It would not be easy to run a control wire to it, the ceilings are very high and there was just so much equipment in the way. I realised I already had ethernet at both ends, and this ethernet relay does the job perfectly and saved me from a complicated installation. I'm very happy with this ethernet relay board. I was pleasantly surprised that each relay has a status LED near it, since they are surface mount LED's it's not obvious they are there unless they are lit up. you can change the IP address as desired, you just have to access it with a web browser to do this. Also you can't access it with edge unless you allow edge to use your local IP addresses.. I didn't feel like figuring out how to do that so I just used Chrome instead and it's fine. That's really an issue with Edge and it's an issue with all local IP addresses. Relays 1-4 are controlled on page 1 which you can always get to with http://192.168.1.4/30000/43 Relays 5-8 are controlled on page 2 which you can always get to with http://192.168.1.4/30000/42 You can also use the "next page" link if you are controlling it with just a web browser. If you are not on the correct page you can't control the relays that are on that page... so if you turn on relay 1 then want to turn on relay 8, you must go to http://192.168.1.4/30000/42 first if you are just issuing commands manually instead of clicking on links I am using FreePascal to control the relays and it works great. I'm using Unit fphttpclient and the simpleget command, Thank you to the FPC mailing list for helping me figure out how to do this! the command is: Status:=TFPHTTPCLIENT.SIMPLEGET('http://192.168.1.4/30000/01'); after executing it Status will contain the HTML that would have been in your browser. It would be great if I didn't have to filter out a lot of HTML to get the status of the relays, I suggest a simple page at http://192.168.1.4/30000/255 that just lists all the relays and their status in a simple string like: 1+2+3-4-5+6+7+8- where the + indicates the relay is on and - indicates it is off. Then I could ignore the HTML and just check that simple status page which would be a lot easier for my pascal program to decipher.. If it Had the status page I would bump it up to 5 stars for sure. And it would be nice if I didn't have to know what page it was on and get it to the right page to use a particular relay.
