Medline Accu-Therm Instant Cold Pack, Heavyweight, 6" Width x 10" Length (Pack of 24)

I have been getting gel injections in my knee until I can get a knee replacement and I use these packs immediately after the injections. They get really cold. I have taken 3 to my last infection appointment knowing that it would take a while to get home and I used them all. Very easy to carry along to appointments. The size is ideal for me to slip under my knee brace. I don’t feel like they stay cold too long but I am more used to gel and clay ice packs from a sub zero freezer, and that’s not the same thing. Overall, I am very grateful to have the box of these for my medical supplies because they are not expensive and fill an essential need.

Average cold packs. Just important to have in a police rig for first aid and personal use. If you or someone gets hot, pop a couple and put them in armpits to help cool the body a bit. That’s what I use them for. Have a few laying around the house for other minor injuries or sore joints after a workout.

the bag might be larger but it is mostly empty space (air) and due to this the cold solution does not stay in one place. For this item to work best you have to have it sit on you. for example, for neck pain you have to lay on your stomach and have pack SIT on your neck. However, if you SIT your neck on it, that is you lay on it, it is hard to feel any cold as the air in the bag will behave like a cushion and keeps the cold away from your skin. I would not buy this for any typpe of dorsal pain. I bought it because the Hospital had a version of it and it was great. Maybe the Amazon version is a cheap knockoff. based on the current ratings of < 4 stars i bet it is a knockoff. It does get cold, you'll have 2 maneuver the cold onto the affected area. it stays cold long enough to matter it can be uncomfortable for reasons stated above.

I recommend these ice packs for anyone who is looking for Quality, Effectiveness, Ice Retention and Value for their money I suffer from intense back pain and need them for when I am driving long distances. I can keep them in my car for a good period of time and they will work beautifully every time

Easy to use last a fairly long time

I ordered this for an ankle sprain, and I thought the larger length would’ve been helpful for resting on my ankle without needing to use a wrap. I also thought it was going to be like the ones they give you at the hospital. Unfortunately, the pack of ice is mostly air, there’s not enough cold liquid inside considering the larger size of the bag. Which means that the liquid only really goes to one side of the bag. Very disappointing. The coldness doesn’t last either. You’re better off getting a larger pack of the smaller bags.

Served the purpose needed a ice pack every hour for 15 or 20 minute

The size is great - the cold lasts about 20 minutes which the duration prescribed by my PT. My issue is Achilles Tendonitis so I use two at a time with one under my ankle and one on top. Easy to stay in place with a hand towel placed across the foot This is the only instant cold pack I use now after having tried 5 other brands
