The build quality of this thing is fantastic, like if Apple made a cat fountain.You can literally submerge the whole 'bucket' in water for cleaning and the motor together - the filter replacements are also very very easy top replace.The water is additionally filtered by UVC light to remove pathogens and further filter the water. I can tell you that our cats only love this one and will not drink any other water source anymore so it passes the fussy test.The sound is like a slight tinkling of water, like a babbling brook - very nice to fall asleep to.
