Refresh Manual Sweeper - Pirouette, 2199,Blue

It's worth every penny! For years I've been buying the little blue Bissell sweepers because they work so good and are light weight.. the biggest problem I've ever had is the bottom rod threads would either get stripped or the metal on the connecting rod would stretch out so they'd come apart during use which is really annoying but that didn't happen till after 2,3 years of heavy use. NOW they've redesigned them! On instead of just the one beater bar in the middle and the little bristle brushes on the 2 front end for edges.. they added 2 little beater brushes on the front and back AND added little square rubber bristles on all 4 corners. This thing works like a dream! I have a kitchen rug that's got leveled and grooved designs on it, making it really hard to get the sticky grass off of when people go in and out of the house..no one wants to clean it cuz its such a pain..so I immediately tried the new Bissell on it not knowing about the new design and couldn't believe how it got EVERYTHING up with ease.. this thing is amazing! I'm thrilled with the new design! Again it's worth every penny.. just wish I had a before and after pic.

This worked way better than I expected and is not super noisy. Works well on thick carpet as well and the not so thick. I use it to get up cat litter, fur, and a good carpet refresh before going to bed at night.

They need to include instructions. The brush fell out and I was about to toss the whole thing as I had tried it back in twice. Then I discovered that where to handle goes into the body, you pull it back and then it inserts into the end of the brush. My wife uses it in her classroom and liked the way it worked...till the brush fell out.

My mother-in-law a Bissell floor sweeper when I married her son 55 years ago. I loved using it on her carpet in between vacuuming. I have 4 area rugs on my hardwood floors and my little vacuum is hard for me to use with arthritis hands. I saw an ad for floor aweepers and remembered how easy Grannie's Bissell was to use. So, Amazon search here I came! Checked out reviews on several different ones and decided on this one. They have improved on the bristles and this litte sweeper is amazing! I had vacuumed the day before delivery but just had to try it out immediately. Wow!! I was so amazed at how much better it preformed than my stick vacuum! I dumped it out on paper so you can see how much dust and pet hair it picked up. I also used it on the area rugs in my bedroom and bathroom. FANTASTIC!! I have 3 small dogs and 2 cats so I have to vacuum almost every day. This will make it so much easier to keep my area rugs clean. I would give this Bissell 10 stars! And the color is darling

I can't testify to this product's durability, because I opened it when it was delivered eight minutes ago. That's how excited I was to use it! I rent a room in a house, so when I vacuum, I need to lug my landlord's vacuum up a flight of stairs and be very careful to clean it afterwards. As a consequence, I don't vacuum much. Lots of little bits and bobs wind up on the carpet (which isn't very long carpeting, but it's still plush enough to be hard to clean). DOWNSIDES so far: The broom isn't super tall. If you're taller than I am (5'6"), you may need to stoop to use this. The metal bits are all VERY squeaky to put together, and so is the sweeper when operating. Might be able to oil it to help--I'm not sure. To empty the bin, you have to get your hands dirty--the bin-dump buttons are at the bottom of the cleaner itself. UPSIDES: Everything else! Easy to operate, no electricity. It folds up flat and has a hanger on the handle so you can hang this on the wall or tuck it in a closet to take up virtually no space. Does a good job! My judgment of a vacuum cleaner is how well it can pick up spilled kitty litter, which is the bane of my existence. This little guy isn't as effective as an actual suction cleaner, so no, it won't work well at getting litter out of corners. However, it DID pick up quite a bit without scattering more litter everywhere, which is more than I can say for some actual vacuum cleaners I've used. The carpet looks and feels cleaner after using. Obviously it's very quick to use, since again, I literally was able to receive, assemble, use, and store the cleaner in 7 minutes! I should have bought this ages ago.

It worked well as advertised but one brush won’t stay in place only after a few usages.

Putting this thing together = 3 Stars (feels cheeeep like the sound a newborn bird would make) Using it for the first time = 2 Stars (it was clunky, barely seemed to work, and shorter than expected) ***5 Takeaways for the Best Experience***: 1. Drop your expectations - it's under 30 bucks (at time of this review) 2. It will be a PITA to twist together, but don't rush, and it will be just fine 3. After facing the logo OUTWARD (aka it looks upside down while you are looking down using it) it will work as expected! The other direction, not so much 4. Don't press downward while you-re using it, it won't make a difference Lol - All you need to do is let it roll back and forth naturally, just like in the YouTube videos you've probably watched :D 5. At the end of the day. This thing picks up those annoying little dirties, without having to break out the <insert brand> vacuum cleaner! Easy (and dare I say fun) enough to use multiple times a day and keep things looking clean! Stop doom-reading reviews and go with this one! Then come back and "Like" this review later, once you're happy with it as well :)

It's very cute and lightweight. Simple to put together. It seems to be sturdy but the handle should be longer. Overall, it does a fairly good job at cleaning the area rug but I should have gotten a bigger one. It does pick up lint and other debris.

Easy to use and good quality however price is in my opinion is a little too high

My carpet sweeper arrived today and it is brilliant. I used it on the bedroom wall to wall carpets and it was like using a vacuum cleaner it was so good. I recommend the Bissell carpet sweeper as a great time saver when you dont want to drag out a vacuum cleaner.

My grandparents had a Bissell sweeper when I was a kid. I can still hear my grandfather saying in his gentle, english accent "Bring the Bissell" after the nightly cracker and cheese board. As a child, it seemed like magic, seeing crumbs disappear in the path of the modest, manual sweeping machine. Honestly, even now, fully understanding how the system of roller brushes works, it still seems a little magical! This is the right tool for daily management of dry, surface messes on your floor. It's actually perfect for thin area rugs that are otherwise eaten up by vacuum cleaners.
