Great aero for the buck
Great helmet and the visor is slick, no need to slip on your sunglasses in T1 plus it's a tad cooler than riding with sunglasses. The feel and aero dynamics of this helmet is outstanding...just makes you feel and push to go faster. Take some time to learn how to slip it on and off...takes some practice to get a good smooth technique down when slipping it on. Overall a great helmet and price!

Awesome helmet - if it fits.
The helmet is great - the major drawback is the tight fit for larger heads. The max size recommended is 61cm - but this is a gross over-estimation - I wouldn't the helmet for anyone with a head larger than 59cm.

If it fits and you don't sweat a lot then.....
This might just be the helmet for you. Obviously its what the pros are wearing and is supposedly very fast and light however coming from the Giro Advantage 2 I was disappointed in the fit. I had a medium in the advantage and it fit perfectly. The sm/md for the selector was way to tight and the med/lg is too big. I added some more pads but it just doesn't feel as secure as I would like. Additionally the visor is prone to getting a lot of seat on it (although I tend to sweat a bit during TT's so that may just be my issue)This helmet is very quite so if that is what you are after then that would be a plus. Overall it is somewhat isolating. I'm actually thinking about going back to the Advantage 2 next season as the few seconds I may loose (I would love to see some real data by the way) will be made up for getting back some of my senses and comfort.

Giro selector helmet
Good day. This Giro selector helmet is simply the best. It is tight around the ears for a reason. I have a giant's helmet and when I am riding really fast the wind hits my ears ears at an alarming rate. This helmet prevents the wind from hitting your ears as much. I also have sunglasses but some how the wind and debris still seems to get through and as a results it makes my eyes tear. The Giro selector helmet protects my eyes from wind and debris. This helmets comes with a free sample ( not gonna tell you what that sample is but trust me you'll like it for its something you can utilize). This helmet also comes with a carry on bag and adjusters. If your serious about road bikes then, this helmet is a dream come true. I am over 6 feet and 1 inch and this helmet still fits me. Like the old saying goes " you get what you pay for".

and not easily adjustable. The piece in the back of the ...
I had an Advantage for years (until my 3 year old daughter stepped on it...) and decided to upgrade to the Selector. Very dissatisfied..Firstly the fit is very very small, and not easily adjustable. The piece in the back of the helmet that you pop out to make said adjustment isn't user friendly. You have to remove it, and place it further back. So no on the fly adjusting, And mine didn't work like that... there was no place to move it unless I took a scalpel and cut a hole for it(ridiculous...).Secondly it just felt heavy compared with the Advantage, and the weight felt further back towards the tail so down in aero it felt truly unruly when trying to look over my shoulder..Thirdly the fit over the ears was tight, and while not a deal breaker, it took more time to tuck my ears (no I'm not related to Dumbo by any stretch of the meaning) inside. So not a huge problem, but in a Tri seconds make a huge difference.I wear a giro atmos for my road and wear a Medium, tried the M/L for the Selector. Like I said be warned it runs very small.

Nice helmet
I bought this to try to squeeze a little bit more speed in my time trial riding. It's a nice looking helmet and matches my kit. It's not easy to get on and off. One panel on the left side near my ear tends to come loose. The more aero a helmet, the less ventilation it offers. So it does get warm.

my favorite helmet
Love it. Just used in a sprint triathlon. It increase my speed by 2 mph. I thought I would have been hotter due to no vent in top but I sweat just as much as when I use a more open helmet. There are air vents that run from the front to back of helmet, aerodynamically. Love the visor because the sun was shining that day. Main draw back, it close on the sides so it take a few more seconds to put on. Have the get the ears in. It's a keeper for me.
