Works for intel stick PC and Amazon Fire stick. It was plug and play. You don't need to do anything special. If you want to use usb memory on Fire stick, you have to format with FAT32. If you use NTFS, Fire stick may not boot. It says you can't supply power to smartphone, but it did supply power to stick PC and Fire stick. I did not try on smartphone.

Mosty Works But There's a Flaw
It works and does allow you to access another device when plugged into the USB port. The problem that I usually see is that the Firestick will intermittent reboot unless the adapter is removed. There must be an issue with power through the adapter. I tried all 3 adapter and other Firesticks. The problem is the same which means the adapters have a flaw.

The Micro USB does not fit snug in the firestick. The slightest vibration looses contact and Firestick will not start up. I have tried all 3 and same problem. You have to continuously keep getting behind the tv and re plugging it in.

Any issues so far have been on the Firestick side.
Works fine on 3 different firetv units here. Issues and limitations are on the firetv stick side. Fat32, formatting issues, etc.
