Review: Perfect replacement. - This bracket is the exact replacement for the bracket that comes with the intex skimmer. It is a necessary part to hold the skimmer to the pool frame. However, these things do not last long. When you tighten the screws enough to hold down the skimmer it will eventually bend or break. This part works perfectly and is a great price. Order an extra.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Improved design is just what we needed
*by M***S on August 6, 2016*

Improved design is the perfect solution to our skimmer basket problem! As shown in photographs by a previous reviewer, the intex clamp "spreads" at the top over time, and so the skimmer basket cannot be clamped tightly to the side of the pool. The basket floats up, air gets sucked into the pump, and everything has to be shut off. Wedging an old flip flop under the plastic"bolts" only worked so long. The new design with reinforcement at the top curve should help prevent this warping/spreading of the clamp. It is REALLY hard to find intex pool parts anywhere, and when you do, you usually have to purchase more than you need (e.g., they wanted to sell us the entire skimmer basket assembly, with basket and hoses, when all we needed was this clamp). The price of this part was very reasonable, and with prime shipping, we got it in two days. It's on the pool and working exactly as we hoped. No more hopping out of the pool to get air out of the pump!
