There is a recipe booklet which comes along with the kit and has instructions on how to make cheese, kimchi/sauerkraut and of course yoghurt. **Q: Can this be used to make yoghurts from non dairy ingredients like almond milk?** A: This machine can ferment anything as long as what you are ‘cultivating’ will grow in the medium at the temperature of one of the programs it will work well. I make yoghurt and kimchi regularly. **Q: I have bought this twice no starter pack is that right?** A: This particular package seems to have 2 larger pots and 8 small ones from what I can see. It is different to the package I bought which had only 1 large pot and cane with milk and starter. I took out a subscription with them but apparently they are now experiencing problems with supply of the milk which is a shame. However you can use any UHT (long life milk) and any starter, though I highly recommend their starter especially as it has probiotics.
