A couple years ago I had purchased some similar sockets form another vendor on Amazon that claimed they were compatible with MR16 halogen bulbs. Sure the bulbs fit but they kept falling out of the socket because the contacts were not providing enough compression on the bulb prongs to hold the lamp in. No such problem with these. I checked on repair kids but as told the manufacture does not sell them; the entire lights have to be replaced. These connections appear to be direct replacements (even the same shape to fit the light) as the originals.
