I love the mercury glass finish, easy to assemble horse shoe attaches to the base add lamp shade and your done. The light bulb is not included. I also like having a USB plug at the base of the lamp to connect to for my phone or watch. I was looking for something neutral that didn't look too bland or cheap, and these are perfect! When they arrived, I was very impressed by the quality. The lamps and shades were MUCH nicer than I expected for the price. Most comparable lamps were too expensive and didn't even come with the shades (these do). Assembly was minimal and simple.The color and reflectivity of the mercury glass is excellent, as well, because it picks up tones from your room. I was afraid the silvery color would be too harsh, but my lamps have appear to have an almost bronzy hint from my tabletops. Light level (even with only one lamp turned on) is perfect for reading or watching TV in the evening, and the USB port in the back of each lamp is a lifesaver! I'm terrible about remembering to plug my phone in, but with these lamps, charger cables are always within reach, and can stay in the port all the time while remaining unseen behind my nightstands.My ONLY COMPLAINT about these lamps is that I wish the base was a little bit heavier. When I accidentally pulled a little too hard on my charger cable, the whole lamp slid across the table. It just so happened to hit the corner of our tile step and broke. It made me sick! 4 kids and it was mom who broke it! (lol) I contacted customer service to see if I could purchase a single lamp separately. I was informed that they are not sold separately but that the replacement base would be sent to me as a one time courtesy.I know it seems silly but I literally got tears in my eyes! I am a nurse and have been working with COVID patients. I have been exhausted and discouraged- and this act of kindness and generosity was so unexpected- it really touched me.
