I had to clean several of these ornaments. There was a "shoe polish" type substance on the poorly engraved plates. The cheap ink will quickly rub off! Several years ago I purchased these and the ornament was engraved not a piece id self sticking inked junk! I chose this company because I thought they did NOT use the stickies. First, on the inside of one box, the "foam" packing material that was supposed to be attached to the top of the box, the glue was old and the "foam" did not adhere. Second, on the Merry Christmas From Heaven ornaments, the adhesive tape on the back of my love one's name and dates of birth/death was old and did not adhere to the ornament. We had to glue it ourselves. It is obvious that we were sold ornaments that were old and the adhesive was old and did not work as it should.
