Review: It's worth the Money - Why did you pick this product vs others?: This isn't the cheapest downrigger out there, but it has served me well on my aluminum boat. The base mount fit great on the back of my boat near the transom and is so much nicer than the little cannon downriggers usually used on aluminum boats. I love the reel speed and adjustable clutch. When you come up to a sudden shallow section you can bring it up in no time to prevent it from becoming an expensive anchor. I plan on purchasing another one.
Review: Fish on - Absolutely love this thing, easier to drop the ball compared to the transom mounted one I started with, line counter is super helpful, the bolt knob that is attached to the base fell out somehow on my way to the lake luckily I had a wrench and an extra 1/4x20 bolt that fit fine so it didn’t ruin a trip. Unsure how it came out as I wasn’t able to remove that by hand

A: This downrigger comes Pre-spooled with 150' of 150-lb test stainless steel cable and includes a line release.Hope this helps Thanks !

A: The hole pattern to the base the EasiTroll comes with measures 2.5” x 2.5” so that would fit. The overall footprint of the base 5.25” x 5.25” so there would be some overhang mounting to that surface. As such, you would have to determine if enough stability and support can be provided to compensate for that. Thank you.

**Q: Does this need to be assembled?**
A: As I recall, just needs to have the pole put on. 5 minutes.

**Q: is the weigth inclued with it**
A: no. I found the down rigger balls also on Amazon. I went with 8lb balls because I ocean fish with a lot of current and tide. Depending on the type of fishing you do, choose any weight from 2lbs to somewhere around 12lbs. Hope this helps!

Solid downriggers for the money. Trolled for 8 hours with a pair of these using 12 lb cannon balls trolling for bluefin out of Monterey California last Saturday. At 125 feet down they held up fine under the weight of the 12lb balls. The clutch is easy operate, not touchy and works great. Glad I went with the gimble mounts as well. The gimble mounts allow us to clear the gunnel rail so we could fight our big fish without obstruction. Very happy this these.
