I put the grip on and there was no "learning period". It is comfortable, stable, and just a little squishy. It allows me to grip without putting to much pressure on the club, and I feel it helps with my wrist not turning so much, although this is probably mental. If you are already a good putter this might not help too much, but if you want a little help with your grip and putter face alignment, this is a good product to purchase.
