A: I do not think it is coated.

**Q: Is this food grade? Can I use it for making anything that comes in contact with food?**
A: I don’t think it’s “food grade” but so long as you washed it well in hot soapy water prior to use it shouldn’t be a problem.  Copper is healthy.
