The seat is fairly large, 20.5" wide on the front, 18" wide on the back, 19.5" deep and 3" thick. This cover just barely manages to cover it. In order to prevent it from slipping off, I stretched the cover quite a bit and tucked the back in the crevice between the seat bottom and the metal bar underneath it, and wrapped a clamp tape around the bar to secure the cover. I guess stapling would also work. Not many covers can cover such a large chair. If you're looking for something that looks high end or glam...these are NOT for you . I only needed them to cover some kitchen chairs that had an unattractive pattern on the seat cushions that I never liked. I ordered the black color...which also tends to attract lint & crumbs...etc so depending on what color you get, you may want to keep that in mind. The original seat cover was torn. This covers the tears completely and is comfortable to sit on. The EZ Cover uses elastic to stay in place. I wish the elastic was a little stronger, occasionally the cover slips off the seat.
