The demo showing this safety cutter on the forefinger likely is that of a man. As a woman, I had to keep changing fingers until I found the right fit. It wasn't perfect, but turns out my middle finger was the best fit. The really good thing is it does just what it says it will do. You would have to work pretty hard to cut yourself as the part you use to cut with is not a blade but a smooth surface of a kind of hard plastic with the very tip of the cutting end is tapered to a point and that is what does the cutting. It zips right through packing tape but as the description states, don't try it on the cardboard your package came in.
