Thanks, Marantz North America **Q: Hello is the 8802A a better unit than the 7704? they seem to be about the same price?** A: ****** av7704 price has gone down from $2199 to $1899. i bought my av8802a when the price dropped to $1999 from $2499 during amazon's lightning deals. i returned my av7704 without even trying it out. thus, i never heard how the av7704 sounded. what i know is that the av8802a sounded amazing especially with high res audio. you can really hear the difference. dacs on the av7704 is akm4458 while those of the av8802a are akm4490. that's several notches above those of av7704. the only advantage i consider going for the av7704 is that it has aero-3d processing worth $200 if you were to upgrade av8802a to this software. good luck on your decision. **Q: How many independent zones does it support? 2 or 3?
