Lancaster Board Game (2-5 Player)

This is a very good strategy game. We've played with 2,3, 4 and 5 players (once each). So far games have taken about 75-90 minutes each, but that's because of time to read and learn the rules and teach the new player that joins another game. I think as we get more familiar with the rules and flow it will be more like 60 minutes per game. It reminds me of a blend of Settlers of Catan, 7 Wonders, and Ticket to Ride, but with some additional twists and strategies. If you like those games, you'll probably like this one. It's quite different as a 2 player game, but we enjoyed it. The rules are a bit different with 2 - each player gets an "ally" that they play for. Allies are very limited, but basically allow each player more moves and their pieces function as "blockers" where you can block your opponent from achieving some rewards.

This is a solid Euro-style game with some interesting choices, Mattias Cramer once again comes up with good game mechanics, and works in the medieval theme reasonably well. I purchased this game as a gift for a friend who loves Cramer's "Glen More" and he enjoyed this one as well.

So much fun! This is a great worker placement game with some confrontation. It has great all wood components and for the price, it is a great value! I highly recommend this game. It has a little learning curve for the beginning board gamer but worth the investment.

A very good game...and i got it at an incredible price. Fo far I've played two 5-player games and enjoyed them both.

I like this one. Plays well with two. Not too complex and offers a few new things to the worker placement model.

The Components Quality is Great. "Meaty" Gameplay wit many Discussions. but the Rules Are Complex to learn and Teach so game not Suited for beginner Players.

Great deal for an amazing Euro game - easily one of the best! No difference between this version and the original except extra languages for the rules - English is still included. I'm not sure why it is so inexpensive, but grab it while you can.

I have loved this game since it was first published in 2011. In my top 20 Euro list. Great Interaction among players. Many paths to victory. NO DICE!

Es un juego con un buen nivel de estrategia e interacción. Los componentes tienen buena calidad pero es raro que los de Queen Games hayan hecho un juego que se ve muy aburrido en mesa. Si te gustan los euros, debes probar este.

Bellissimo gioco, non adatto per giocatori alle prime armi, solo per giocatori esperti! Basato sul piazzamento lavoratori ha inoltre una splendida votazione segreta per l'approvazione delle leggi che ad ogni fine turno danno punti!

The game was described as ‘multi-lingual’ and the Language listed as ‘English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Dutch’. However the copy that I received arrived in a box with German text only, snd the rulebook inside was also only in German. The game is playable, as there is no text on the pieces or board, but I had to search online for an English version of the rulebook.
