The power adapters have splitter cables that are each designed to run 2 black light strips. So for each kit you need 2 power outlets (or you can use a double adapter or power board). Our black light kit comes with extra long cables so you can space the blacklights up to 14ft (4.2m) apart. You do not need 4 power outlets. **Q: How many kits for a 20x30 tent** A: We used to do parties in a tent this size and they were so much fun! We used 1 and a half kits. You could get away with only one kit though.
