Fantastic headphones - blend of sound performance and noise cancelling at a competitive price
I currently have the Sony WF1000xm3's and the battery life is now only about 45mins (I am going to replace the batteries as they are still nice headphones) but I wanted something to quickly use for a trip to Italy so took a bit of an impulse buy with these at a low cost. Well I have been very impressed. The sound quality is excellent, the noise cancelling is very good as well. Battery life has been really impressive going days without needing a recharge. The buds come with various tips to suit different ear types (medium worked for me) The case is much smaller than the Sony and offers wireless charing which works with my Anker 2in1 iPhone charger which is great. The app is also very good and you can customise your sound profile and what the controls on the buds do. I went for the blue colour and it's a dark navy with a subtle shine which looks smart. Overall I think these headphones are a fantastic option and an absolute steal for the cost so would definitely recommend these. I've been waiting for the AirPods Pro 3 to come out but tbh I think these will do me fine - they link seamlessly to iPad and iPhone and come at a fraction of the cost the apple ones will be.

Incredibly good for the price! (Review after years of owning a pair)
"Last bought 5 Feb 2023" but they only just stopped working properly and it was the left ear, so they've lasted pretty long, so I'm writting this review as I'm looking to buy new earphones and bumped into these again. For the price these are absolutely amazing. ANC isn't perfect because it muffles more than anything (Plus the pressure won't be everyone's cup of tea) but still really good. I found the normal mode lacking in sound when listening to music (I do audio work so I might be being picky lol). Transparency mode is really great and even with my headphones not working properly now, this feature is still flawless. Frankly, the fact that these even have ANC in the first place is great, not even my Sennheiser earbuds who were more expensive do and these also have a better sound quality and Sennheiser is an audio brand with a pretty solid reputation Always wearing a beanie I never had any problem with the touch controls except maybe the accidental ocassional touch, unlike with other earbuds (I actually had to disable touch control in my Sennheiser ones because of it lmao). The touch controls are pretty intuitive and holding on either ear allows you to change ANC modes without using the app or even touching your phone. You can use one earbud only too and have the other charging in the case without the sound stopping. Range is relatively short but I never had connectivity issues with it, always carry my phone with me or leave it close so it's never been a problem. The only issue I've ever had with connectivity is that sometimes I have to clean the charging connectors and even then ocassionally disable and re-enable Bluetooth so they don't stay connected to my phone and drain battery, because they sometimes do stay connected when putting them in the case. Never had them die this way, they do have very good battery time and charge pretty fast, even as of now. Speaking of battery time, ironically I spent an entire day traveling the day before yesterday and was listening to music all day almost nonstop and they still had battery in them even after over a couple of years of owning them. I never noticed the battery being short nor degraded to a level in which it's noticeable personally After 2 and a half years precisely, the thing to wear out the fastest in my end were the microphone god knows how long ago (Never use it, but if I pick up a call, they can never hear me if I use the earphones) and the left ear, primarily volume (Speaker still works but is very dim) and the left ear noise cancelling feature, which was causing annoying but not deafening feedback whenever there was any significant outdoor noise, so I couldn't use it in ANC mode in the car or when it was wondy per example and had to switch to normal or transparency A lot of harsh comments but it is important to know any flaws too, despite the fact I consider these amazing and I rated them 5 stars. And damn they are amazing. I also had a pair prior to these that lasted me around 3 years I believe so I re-bought them. In that same case, I believe one of the earbuds started to fail but that time I was in an accident I needed to even go to A&E for and they fell to the floor very harshly. Only reason I'm not buying these a third time is simply because I'm looking at the higher range soundcore earbuds because I wanna splurge a tad bit more to have better features and sound quality. Sound quality is pretty important to me (Which makes it ironic I'm using Bluetooth earphones lol), I love to be able to hear everything as clearly as possible Honestly I can't recommend the Anker Soundcore stuff enough. Incredibly good for the price and durable, I also own a refurbished Soundcore Bluetooth speaker I've had since before Covid and it still works!

Preety good but noise reducing not cancelling
So they are decent. They block out low level noise or like noise from outside when your inside. They block out the sounds of the car but not my parents loud as radio that they insist on having on full volume so I still have to listen to their bad radio 4 comedy or their loud talking but I can't hear the roof box whistling or the car rumbling. Sort of do half of what I wanted them to do on that front. The touch controls are relatively easy once you get used to them. You do need the app really to get full use of them. They are comfortable for a long time but can be annoying if you use them when you sleep and you sleep on your side. They also seem relatively durable had them for 3 months and use them almost every day and they're still like new. The battery life is very good. They last all night and only need 15 mins in the case to be back to a good enough level to use. I've used them on lots of long journeys and have not needed to charge them. Probably charge them once a week if I'm using them a lot but less if not. There's a cable in the box but no plug Easy to connect to a computer or phone it's just a usual Bluetooth connection. There's a range of ear tips in the box in all sorts of sizes so they will fit you whatever.

Perfect Budget Ear Buds
Perfect budget ear buds. I brought these ear buds as my son and wife have similar products from this brand and they like them. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality although not quite as good as more expensive brands itโs not far off. The app helps you set them up exactly to your listening preferences and the noise cancelling is in my opinion better than some of the lead brands. They are comfortable to wear and the charge last me over a week. The carrying case is nice and small making portability a breeze. Super easy to connect to any device via blue tooth I brought black but they are available in white also. The side buttons are a little clumsy but to can customize them via the app.

Outstanding
Replaced my Samsung XM5 earphones with these. I listen to audio books, music and TV every day, multiple hours and I am shocked at how unbelievable these are in all areas. The case is slightly bulkier but not of any functional issue or concern. Comfort is outstanding, I prefer the texture and fit of these. Battery life (I don't use ANC) is outstanding. Far better than the Sony under the same conditions. I've used them every day and charged them once in a fortnight. Earbuds and battery really hold their charge. Sound is excellent, the range is brilliant and although it's a slightly different tone than the Sony's I've got used to it as I did when switching speakers a few years ago. Bluetooth is perfect, no issues with dropoffs or disconnections / connection problems. For under ยฃ50 I will never be able to justify buying expensive earphones ever again. These are amazing value for money. .

Good in some ways, frustrating in others
These are almost great earbuds, but with a few flaws that keep them from being a strong recommendation. First, the positives: The sound is outstanding, with clear highs and mids, and solid but not overwhelming bass. The fit is great: they're lightweight and comfortable. And the noise cancelling is solid, although not quite as good as more expensive models. For their price, the quality in these areas is strong. Now the not-so-good. Bluetooth connectivity is subpar. I usually listen while I'm walking, and I keep my phone in my pocket, so there's no great distance to cover. Sometimes it's fine, but other times it loses connection multiple times. I've reset the buds, but no luck: the connection simply isn't what it should be. The microphones are no better. It's gotten to the point where I will disconnect the buds when I'm making or receiving a call, simply because I'm tired of being told the sound quality is bad. While this may be a phone issue, I haven't had the same problem with other earbuds or other soundcore products, so I'm forced to believe it's a problem with these buds. Okay, this is going to sound weird, but something about the case is oddly slippery. I usually keep my earbuds case in a front pocket, and while it's not that unusual for a case to slip out from time to time, this case sets the record. Simply stated, if I'm sitting down or standing up from sitting, they fall out more often than not. And as if that wasn't annoying enough, the case opens far too easily, and the magnets holding the buds in the case are quite weak. In other words, if they fall out of my pocket, the case usually opens, and the earbuds fall out. At first I thought it was me, but the more time has passed, the more I'm convinced that it's the design of the case. In fact, I'm writing this review having lost the earbudsโI literally decided to take a break from crawling around my house looking for them to write this review. This isn't my first pair of earbuds, and I've never had this problem, so do with that what you will. So, if you're going for sound and don't mind the occasional lost conection, these are a solid choice and a good value. If you're going for comfort and noise cancelling, you're in look. But if you want a consistent connection and the ability to make phone calls, and if you'd rather not get down on your hands and knees every time the case works its way out of your pocket, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. EDIT: Okay, I was in a pretty bad mood when I wrote this review. I tried to be fair, but I was frustrated. I've since been in touch with the company about the issues I mentioned here, and they've been very quick to respond with suggestions. First, the case: They suggested keeping the buds in a more secure location and perhaps getting a case for the case. That seems like overkill, but I've since ordered a protective case for the caseโand yes, I've found the earbudsโso we'll see if this makes any difference. Regarding the other issues, I haven't made any phone calls since finding the earbuds, so I can't speak to any improvement in that area. At their suggestion, I've reset the unit (again) to see if it resolves the Bluetooth connectivity problems. So far, there does seem to be some improvement, although the connection still did cut out once or twice. It's possible that this is a problem with my phone, but I've never had these types of issues with other Bluetooth devices (including other soundcore headphones), so I doubt it. So, while my review stands, I would add an extra half-star if I could, in part because of the speed and quality of customer service, and in part because of the quality of the sound, which I may have given short shrift the first time round. Honestly, these are terrific-sounding earbudsโrich and detailed without being boomy or harsh. I just wish certain details of them worked a little better.

Great ear buds
Easy to set up and connect to the app. Good sound. Great noise cancellation. You can add a widget to your home screen and switch between modes Normal, noise reduction and transparent. Small lightweight and comfy. Case is wireless charging too. The app has extra sound features as well as translation.

At first I did Love these new earphones
May 2015. Had them for 5months and now the full charge lasts less than 4hrs. Absolute rubbish. Just keeps getting worseโฆ now the double tap doesnโt work, another star taken off. These earphones are rubbish. Month Update: Ok, Iโve been wearing these for a month now and feel now Iโd the time to give my final update on these earphones and tbh Iโm liking them less and less than when I first had them. The issues Iโve found are they are just not as comfortable to have in your ears for extended periods of time Day after day after day. You are constantly readjusting them to stay in your ears because they only have the ear canal tip and not a rubber fin on top of them to mould inside your ear, they move all of the time and want to come out. The ear pieces are obviously weighty because of the batteries and electronics in them and this weight slowly pulls them out of position. Next issue is the touch button, every time you touch them to readjust them to go back in your ear it alters the volume and thatโs just playing annoying. Itโs also hard to locate the precise place to double tap them when you actually want to as apose to a physical push button and lastly as I mentioned in the original update the ANC is pretty useless. I have actually been using my older Life A1 ones inbetween charging these and the fit compared to these is absolutely loads better. Not sure if Iโd pay for these ones again because of those three main issues for finding like me who wears them literally every waking second of each day. So Iโve dropped stars again for these issues based on a month of every day wearing. Little Update: After wearing these continuously for about a week, I have noticed that compared to the SC Life A1 the Bluetooth range isnโt as long when connected to my iPod touch and also noticed that the ANC isnโt really that affective tbh, so it looses a star for those issues. Out of the 2 settings, โTransparency Modeโ Iโve no idea why anyone would want to use this setting to actually hear more, which it does enable you to, Itโs like it focusses in on distant noises like the kitchen extractor fan or the dehumidifier fan going. Whilst on the flip side, the actual โNoise Cancellingโ option does dull the sound say of the TV heard over the film youโre watching on your device through your earphones, but doesnโt eliminate it, itโs still audible, so just be aware of that if youโre purchasing those soley based on their ANC capabilities, theyโre not that good in that respect. Also the IPX waterproof rating on the Life A1 is ipx 7 compared to these A40 which is only ipx 4 rated by Soundcore. One more thing is that the touch buttons are no where near as responsive as an actual push buttons as in the older model LIfe A1โs. So it looses another star for that too. *************** Original Review: Iโm going to compare these with the Soundcore Life Wireless A1 earphones because Iโve owned about 6 pairs of them over the past couple of years and they were the best earphones Iโd found so far out of the reasonably priced Soundcore bunch. They had amazing bass, the three button tap to change from bass to two other settings was really good, they were comfy to wear the entire day, waterproof even in the shower and the battery life was good. You knew when they were low on charge because a red light came on and when they were in the charging container, you could see the lights on when. It was charging and knew when you had to re-charge the box as the lights went down and started to flash. The main problems with the Life A1 is that the circular rubber cover that is over the ear press button comes away from the unit causing the components to be exposed and then moisture gets in and thats the end of that. They also have a silicone earpiece which constantly comes out of position from where it should go, causing you to re-adjust constantly throughout the day. This also caused the earphones to be a pain going back into the charging container because sometimes the silicone had moved preventing the connections to align and for it to charge properly. Soundcore recently decided to change the Life A1 with a newer model which allowed it to be operated via an app, they did away with the three button press to get the equaliser deeper bass setting and the sound was not as good as the earlier Life A1 model. If you buy them now, they will all be the newer model just called A1 and compared to the old, theyโre not worth it. So well done Soundcore, you spoiled them. Now compared to the Soundcore Space A40 which Iโve recently purchased because I was sick of the newer A1 models sound and lack of functions, Ive got to say that so far iโm pleasantly surprised. First thing you notice is that there are no inner ear silicone fins to perfectly fit your upper ear, they just have the different sized plugs so it sits looser in your ear. But because of this, they go straight back into their charging box and connect straight via the magnet to the correct position to charge. It relies soly on the app which you are allowed to customise the touch button press, but sometimes is hard to just press it and it doesnโt always register the press, which is annoying, but saying that, there doesnโt appear to be that circle of rubber covering the button which comes apart from the A1 model. There are no lights on the A40 earphones so you donโt know theyโre actually on unlike the A1. Also noticed when they are in their charging box, there are no pulsating lights on the box to show they are charging either. Ive got to mention that Soundcore claim that when the earphones have run out of charge, by putting them into the recharging box just for 10 minutes will give them 40% charge. I tried this and timed the 10 minutes and reconnected them for them to show exactly 40% charge, so that was awesome. The sound of the A40 is really good, the bass is Iโve got to say better than the A1 and the active noise cancelling mode is really good. You can change the settings of the ANC in the app, theres a transparency mode which Iโve no idea why youโd want to use this and a full ANC mode which does actively dowse the noise around you, this feature wasnโt on the A1 and tbh I like it, yes it drains the battery faster, they reckon 8hrs instead of 10 before you need to recharge them but weโll see later on. The earphones themselves are comfy, Iโve had them in all day and gone for walks etc in them and they stay in, the ANC can be turned off and on via the 2 second long touch option which you can disable if you want to. You can also customise the one touch for volume and two touch for play/pause and a few other settings. Again, sometimes itโs hard to lightly touch the earphones twice top change the setting compared to a solid button press as with the earlier model A1. So far theyโre good, they are more expensive than the A1, but like I said theyโve ruined them with the upgrade and Iโll never go back to them. The sound quality of the A40 is really good as previously mentioned and when watching a movie, the sound effects are bassy and loud which I love compared to the newer model of the A1. The no charging lights does concern me as i donโt know if they are charging, but so far they have been, but itโs nice to have a visual aid to verify this. You can also add a widget to (Iโm using an iPod touch and iPhone) add the earphones to so that by swiping the widget screen on you can control the ANC setting and also see how much charge is left on the earphones, which is useful. One more thing with Soundcore, I did order a set of Life A1 from their website, they advertised them as the older Life A1 model with three button press etc, however they sent the newer model which they falsely advertised and I didnโt want so I took advantage of their โhassle free returnsโ which turned out to be a total nightmare. Had to email them through their site about 5 times, force them to pay for the return postage because theyโd sent out the wrong product and they wanted me to pay for returns, physically called them on the phone once and used their online live chat twice escalating it to a complaint the third time, then back and forth with a team leader a few times in order to resolve the issue. I for one will never buy anything direct from their website again so thank you Amazon, your returns procedure is flawless and you have my business for life, which is why I purchased these new pair of A40 from Amazon and not the Soundcore website direct. One thing about making earphones that relies purely on apps to work and to modify them is not everything has an app. I can connect my earphones through Bluetooth to my tv, this I cant put the Soundcore app on to change itโs settings, the radio is another i can connect to but canโt put an app on to modify and also Amazons Alexa, there is no option to put a Soundcore app on it to modify the earphones on that either. So regarding a 50 hr battery length claim, I fully charged the earphones on delivery via the cable, then wore for 8hrs with ANC on, waited till ran it and turned off, did a timed quick 10 min charge (put in exactly 40% of charge) lasted 4 hrs, another timed 10 min charge (again gave it 40% charge) and on for 3 hrs before putting away for the night. After a full charge wore for 11 hrs then a timed 10 min charge (went to 50%), wore for 1 1/2 hrs then put away for the night. Next day from a full charge lasted 10 hrs, in case (case lights showing 2 lights) for timed 10 mins (50% charge) lights went down to 1, wore for 4 1/2 hrs, back in case overnight. On for 9 1/2 hrs, in charging case for timed 10 mins giving 20% charge then wore for about an hour before finally running out of charge, so all in all about 52 hrs before needing to charge the case againโฆ. Prettttttty good. Got to tell you this too, with all my wireless earphones, I tend to take out an ear when i need to listen to something quick and put it down somewhere and then spend ages trying to find it again. Ive found out with the Soundcore Space 40, if you leave the earplug, go into the app and into its settings and there is an option to locate your earphone ?!?!?!?!, you select which one you are trying to find and then press the play button for it and it sends out an audible tone so you can locate it ?????? I know right, amazing. Used it three times so far as thatโs how often I loose them, tone goes and you just walk round listening for it until you find it :-) Definitly recomend these and definitely going to get another pair.

Amazing sound and battery, best in price
Editing my previous review, I bought this in november 2023, and loved the sound, but the batery seemed less, but i loved the sound so much tht i didnt return. After 3 month i posted a review, saying lovely sound but battery is less. I was contacted by seller saying we r sorry, and we would like to make it up to u, and we offer a ful refund. I responded tht i would prefer if u send me a new one if battery is more, they accepted immediately. I reutned the old unit without any shipping charges and a new space a40 reached me within 2 days. And i love not only love the sound, but the app customization options, now the battery is also more than +7 hrs continuous music, and charging speed is also fast. I compared these with soundpeats free 2 classic, soundpeats mini, soundpeats mini pro, soundpeats engine 4, jabra elite 7 pro, one plus evo, (yes i love collecting n enjoying alot of these.) and i can confidently say i can rank it almost at the top, in terms of sound and battery life. The best part is sellers concern, responsiveness and their confidence in their product and going out of the way to resolve a customer issue and thus winning respect and a returning customer. This was my first experience with soundcore but i m impressed n wil definitely buy again n recomend to everyone. Highly recomended

Great value for money
I lost my AirPods and wanted to buy a replacement without spending too much. Read glowing reviews online and went ahead and bought on Amazon.SG. Delivery was very quick, setting up was easy and works as promised. Noise cancellation is reasonably good too.

Great price, great quality, great earbuds!
I ordered these and a pair of the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE to test them both out. I didn't see any reviews that addressed my questions, so, in case anyone else is looking for this info... I have VERY weird ears. I have to use two different sizes on all earbuds and they are usually TERRIBLY uncomfortable, no matter what. These are SO comfortable and they actually stay in my ears no matter what I am doing! (The Samsungs were good, fairly comfortable and stayed in, but not as well). The second major aspect for me was "can they do everything without having to get out my phone?" One of the things I liked about these is that the controls are MUCH more customizable. On the Samsungs, you have to choose between being able to manually switch noise modes OR being able to raise/lower the volume. These allow you to do both, and skip songs and stop/play. So I never have to take out my phone. The adaptive noise mode feature on both works great, but sometimes, you want to just tap and change for something they don't recognize and I want to do all that without having to reach into my pocket with my filthy hands while gardening to get my phone wet and dirty. For the "normal stuff"... Since I am not an audiophile, the sound quality kind of all sounds the same to me no matter which earbuds I buy, so... all I can say there is that I hear my music, it sounds good, I am happy. Battery life: not sure it fully meets the 10 hours, I got started this morning at about 11 am and had them playing pretty much nonstop until about 6pm and they crapped out. So that's really more like 7 hours instead of 10. But, I charged them for like 20 minute while I was talking to someone and they lasted until I was done with my work at about 8pm, so I didn't mind. Connectivity: my work today included going up and down a scaffold three storeys high on the front of my house and all the way into the basement and my garden out back. So we are talking about a range of about 15 meters front to back and an additional up/down of about 12 meters. I had my phone about in the middle of all that and I rarely disconnected. So the range is around 10-15 meters and when I did disconnect, the second I was back in range (even if I was out for a few minutes), they reconnected right away. App: the app is great, easy, user-friendly and it offers a basic equalizer. That is something that the Samsung does "better" if you want AI and Bixby and a few more modes, the "find my" function, etc. Though, I am not sure those are available to anyone but Samsung phone/tablet owners. I didn't care about any of that, I wanted "easy, good, practical". Noise cancellation: Both did really well with this, I didn't test out the Samsungs long enough to comment, but these... my work has included: sanding wood posts, sanding metal fences, cutting metal rain drains with a cricular angle grinder, pressure washing my patio and some of the metal sanding was done while i was seated about 3 meters from a jackhammer in use on concrete. So.. a LOT of VERY loud noises... It COMPLETELY cut out the higher register sounds of the grinder against the metal. I could barely hear the pressure washer and the jackhammer and the sound of the sanding (wood or metal) was still audible, but dampened quite a bit. So I was VERY pleased about that. Even without music on, just the noise cancellation feature is GREAT. Can't wait to sleep with them in while on my vacation in noisy hotels! So, after 3 days of HARD constant use, gotta say, really happy with this purchase. If anything major changes, I will update this.
