Works straight and paint, but sometimes when you leave it open it dries out, but I still recommended a five star, so I hope you guys should

After seeing numerous negative reviews of similar products, I opted for the Striking Viking version as I have used other products of theirs and had some hope their beard filler would actually perform. Not to be. As many other users have stated, the pens dry out after only a very short time and no efforts to revive them were successful, although the instructions were followed to a "T". The first of the two pens in the package worked for about thirty seconds before becoming totally nonfunctional. Replacing the tips as instructed worked for only a few strokes. After giving up all hope on the first pen, attempts to use the second pen in the package proved no better. Whatever the reason for the essentially total failure of this product, it has to be corrected before anyone can have any real confidence in this item. As is, it seems to rank right down there with all the other similar products as far as performance goes. Not surprisingly, this SV item is made in you-know-where (crap product capital of the world as it seems) where quality control has gone to die. Only recourse now is to try to find another brand of beard filler that actually works and lasts a respectable amount of time given the cost.

I had ordered a beard pen before (more generic it seems) and that one does a fantastic job. I was trying to order another one for my buddy as gift but it was no longer available, then I saw this one as an alternative option. Two pens in one package, great! So I decided to order. The package does have two pens and one brush, for the price you can't beat that! I tried one pen, since I am going to keep one and give the other pen and brush to my buddy. It does the job, works well, but not as good as my previous pen. Using these kinds of pens requires patience and a little bit of practice (it helps to have some drawing skills too). Those who report a "sharpie" or obvious marker look are being to harsh or forceful with the pens...again it takes practice and patience. The only cons to this pen, in my opinion, and hence the 4 stars, are: 1. The ink stays wet for a longer time then my previous pen and smears a bit more when brushing it...one must be super gentle...just to blend it and feather it in. 2. The brush is a bit on the more fine and flexible bristles side...so it drags more paint and smudges more than my previous pen. This is still a pretty good product. Maybe I just need to wait a little longer for the pigment to dry a little longer before passing the brush through it. I would recommend...for the price you can't beat it. Super fast shipping too!

They are starting out good as far as working with your beard. But they dry out too fast. You do not get your full usage out of them. Two of my previous orders have dried out very quickly.

I have bought this product over and over and will continue to do so. I love it. There are 3 things to consider before using this product. 1) This isn’t a magic fix if you can’t grow a beard. That’s genetics and it is what it is. 2) It will give your beard a darker and fuller look. I use it primarily for small areas in my beard that don’t grow as full as I would like. 3) It will take some practice to get a “natural” look. Don’t press too firm and use quick light strokes to accomplish that “natural” look. Use a beard brush to lightly comb over your beard and make the strokes look even better. This product is water proof and mostly sweat proof. After a hard gym session or sizzling heat, it may smudge a little bit. Easy fix is to lightly wipe your face with a damp towel/cloth/wipe, brush your beard, reapply, and brush again. If you are using beard oil before it seems this product does not apply as well and using oil/balm right after applying the pen will smudge the pen strokes. All in all this product is a Simple, small, and convenient for on the go and daily use. I simply cannot say how much I love this product. A simple and effective boost of self-esteem in a pen. If you have a few minor details in your beard you would like to look fuller I would absolutely recommend this product. Again, this product is NOT for those who don’t have facial hair to work with. It’ll end up looking like you took a sharpie to your entire face to make a “beard” lol.

Let me save you from a world of pen-related disappointment. This product is a total dud. They send you not one, but two pens, as if that will magically increase your chances of getting a working one. Well, guess what? In my unfortunate case, both of them were as useless as a broken pencil. I even went to the extreme of removing the lids and giving them a vigorous shake, hoping for a miracle ink explosion. But nope, not a single drop came out. I suspect these sneaky people just bought these pens from some shady company and slapped their own label on them. If you happen to stumble upon these sorry excuses for beard utensils at your local dollar tree, go ahead and have a laugh, but don't you dare waste your hard-earned cash on them here. Trust me, your beard deserve better!

Not clear and not looks real it’s look like fake when applied

It doesn't last longer and it’s not water proof. The pack has only one pencil not two as mentioned !!

Both pens were dry out the box and if you pressed hard enough to even get anything out of it, it was just a smudgy marker. Garbage
