The metal brads dress it up & take the style up a level from your plain upholstered material. It holds quite a bit on the inside to be this small & is light enough that it can moved without being a big deal. Perfect little piece to hold odds & ends for my small corner space outside the bedroom, but could work really well in about any kind of room in the house, making it versatile. The only thing I wish this particular ottoman had for my needs is an attached lid that raises. The top does come completely off, and the underside has a built in tray. So I’m sure that would be handy if you used it in a living room or even a bedroom. Overall… love this piece & recommend it! Great quality & well built. One downside was the price. It costed just as much as one of the full size upholstered storage benches, which I think is nuts. That’s a bit pricey in my opinion.
