## Description

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A small-town sweetheart and an emotionally unavailable bad boy try to find some common ground in this chemistry-filled romance from the author of The Cheat Sheet and When in Rome. A POPSUGAR AND CHICAGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR Annie Walker is on a quest to find her perfect match—someone who complements her happy, quiet life running the local flower shop in Rome, Kentucky. But finding her dream man may be harder than Annie imagined. Everyone knows everyone in her hometown, and the dating prospects are getting fewer by the day. After she overhears her latest date say she is “so unbelievably boring,” Annie starts to think the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favorite romance movies? Maybe she only needs a little practice . . . and Annie has the perfect person in mind to be her tutor: Will Griffin. Will—the sexy , tattooed, and absolutely gorgeous bodyguard—is temporarily back in Rome, providing security for Amelia Rose as excitement builds for her upcoming marriage to Noah Walker, Annie’s brother. He has one personal objective while on the job: stay away from Annie Walker and any other possible attachments to this sleepy town. But no sooner than he gets settled, Will finds himself tasked with helping Annie find the love of her life by becoming the next leading lady of Rome, Kentucky. Will wants no part in changing the sweet and lovely Annie. He knows for a fact that some stuffy, straitlaced guy won’t make her happy, but he doesn’t have the heart to say no. Amid steamy practice dates and strictly “educational” tutoring lessons, Annie discovers there are more layers to Will’s usual stoic attitude. As the lines of their friendship become dangerously blurred, Annie reconsiders her dream guy. Maybe her love life doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to be real. Look for all of Sarah Adams’s When in Rome books: WHEN IN ROME • PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT • BEG, BORROW, OR STEAL • IN YOUR DREAMS

Review: Utter perfection for the end of series - This enchanting, wholesome read left me giggly and blushing. The chemistry and tension between the leads were perfection, exceeding my expectations and pulling me into a charming world I couldn’t help but love. In this house we stan a man who can communicate—Griffin, with his “I’m not gonna catch feelings” energy and tender heart wrapped in floral tattoos, is peak book boyfriend. His unwavering support for Annie, wanting her to change absolutely nothing about herself, was everything. Sarah delivers a tender, witty, and emotional love story I adored to pieces.
Review: Rating: 4.5⭐️ - Read if you enjoy: - Closed Door Romance - Fake Dating - Opposites Attract - Bodyguard (MMC) and Flowershop Owner (FMC) - Pirate Smut Reader (FMC) - Dual POV - Small Town Vibes - COMMUNICATION! I simply loved everything about this book! What a fun and quick-paced book filled with lovable characters and opinionated small-town nosy found family haha. Annie is a flower shop owner in a small town where everyone knows her as the sweet and angelical Annie. She is on a mission to find her perfect soon-to-be husband where she can finally fill the void she feels inside. On the other hand, we have Will, the bodyguard (excuse me… executive protection agent (EPA) sorry Will haha IFKYK) coming to fulfill his job for a month as Amelia (Book 1) is preparing for her wedding. He knows he should stay away from Annie but Amelia has better things in mind. She sets them up after a mortifyingly bad date for Annie. She asks Will to coach Annie on how to get better on her dates and this is where sparks just fly. The Fake dating in this story was so good. I loved the dynamic of Will and Annie and how he wanted her to shine without changing who she is. He was so supportive and gave her the means to flourish while blurring the lines himself of never falling in love. It was so sweet to see him coming to this realization after enduring his childhood traumas. The communication between was so good. This book was adorably cute! If you want a book with lovable characters and great communication with laughable moments, give this one a try! Loved it! “Annabell, I need you to know, I’ve fallen madly in love with you.” “But you don’t believe in love.” “It was easier to say I don’t believe in love, rather than admitting to myself that I was afraid I wouldn’t be loved back”

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The cutest 5 Star Romance!
*by K***A on December 29, 2024*

STARS ATTENTION! I think this is where *cute* enters the chat! We have a 5 Star Read!! Practice Makes Perfect is the second book in the When In Rome series by Sarah Adams. I read the paperback with a few chapters listened to on audio (so I could get the full experience)! I loved it both ways! Will and Annie are the cutest opposites attract couple in the entire state of Kentucky. This love story was witty, engaging, and downright tender. I loved Annie’s transformation. Watching her take charge of her own future was powerful and encouraging! In this house, we sure do love a man who can communicate. It’s so refreshing to read a male main character who doesn’t want his woman to change and who recognizes his own issues and works to improve. Will was one of my top male characters of the year! Pick this one up if you love a small town, tattooed man, breaking away from family pressures, working through issues, and finding yourself vibes. SPICE This is a closed door romance, but let me tell you what… it does not lack in butterflies and tension! I swear my tummy was doing little flips at 50 pages in. The romance is written so incredibly well, and when things do finally heat up, the fade to black gives us just enough for the imagination to run wild. I can’t say I’ve ever loved a closed door… until this one! HAPPY ENDING We get the cutest, most unexpected twist towards the end. Will and Annie give each other everything they need! I loved the ending and can’t wait to see more of this darling couple in book 3! FINAL THOUGHTS I loved this book so much that I included it in my Top 5 of 2024! I read 100 books, so that is really saying something! The When In Rome series is an absolute delight. I can’t wait to continue it with Beg, Borrow, or Steal!
