SH-MX100 Multi-Use Off-Road Cycling Shoe

These shoes fit well and tighten up easily with the Velcro strap. I ordered a 12.5 size and the fit was true. I have a relatively narrow foot and they fit just right, so these might not work for wider feet. The shoes are very comfortable. The construction is rock solid with sturdy uppers and a hard plastic sole. I use spd clippers petals and the cleats on either side of spd attachment make walking soundless and easy. The hard plastic sole makes the shoe inflexible and really easy to lock in and out of the pedals. These shoes are an outstanding value. They are half the price most other MTB shoes and are a great value for the money.

These shoes are fantastic. True to size, easy to put on and off, comfortable, and a tad stretchy for a perfect fit. The clips are easy to attach.

I bought these shoes 2 years ago to use with my indoor bike. The shoes have been remarkably durable and comfortable. I like that I can walk around when wearing them and not worry about scratching the floor. The fit is true to size. My only complaint is that the strap doesn’t tighten enough. As the shoes have stretched out with use, the strap doesn’t tighten quite enough, so they feel a bit loose. I recommend this shoe if you are looking for a good pair of decently priced shoes. I’m not sure how well they would hold up with outdoor cycling, but I have owned Shimano cycling shoes when I used to ride outside and they were great.

Not overly wide but did fit just fine. Works for what I am using them for, indoor cycling.

I’ve ridden in Shimano shoes for years and years. I ride the same size all the time. These are the first shoes that I’ve had an issue with. First problem: The toe box is small. The shoe design is such that toe box has a wedge shape instead of a round shape, so the shoe is constantly pressing down on your toe nail. Second problem: the Velcro straps are short. If you have a high instep (like me) you may find yourself unable to fasten the Velcro straps. They prolly only work well if you are flat-footed. I’ve had to ride these shoes without the insole just to be able to use them at all. Trust me do not buy these shoes unless you have flat tiny feet.

Good quality shoe but deceptive size chart. Had to return two pairs due to them being too short. I ended up buying another brand.

Great shoes using them for both my road and gravel bike now. Super comfortable and easy to get lots of miles out of without any foot pain.

The MX-1 is a low cost, no frills shoe. Looks: Not so much. These shoes look like a cross between bedroom slippers and gardening clogs. Style is not the strong suit. That said, they're great for beginners, casual cyclists on a budget, and for those with wider feet. Sizing: I wear a 12.5 US, and typically al 46 or 47 in European shoes. When I measured my feet with a Sidi sizing tool at the local bike shop, my toes landed between the 46 and 47 mark, my instep between 45 and 46 as shown. Width is between E and EE, slightly wider than "normal". Selecting a 12.5 men's in the MX-1 brought a shoe marked as 48 European. The is pretty close to perfect for my feet. Toes have just a tiny bit of space, heel is not loose, and my instep is snug but not pinched. I've only done about 50Km in them so far, and they've been comfortable. The only exception is that I have thick, tall toes and my big toenails are pushed down a bit. I don't think the plastic front will stretch much, so this may be a problem. Potential drawbacks: Serious cyclists might not like all the elastic on top, and probably will be disappointed by the lack of "tuneability" in the single Y strap. Those who ride in weather will get wet socks from the elastic cloth and perforations. Summary: I bought these as a backup to my old trusted Sidis, and for the money I think they're just fine.
