It produced steamed milk drinks and coffee drinks without milk. When the descale light came on, the problems began. The directions that came with the machine were followed to the letter: the descale packet was used, the hot water spout was in place, the water tank was filled with filtered water to the level prescribed. Nothing happened. No hot water came out. Coffee beans were removed. Then I called DeLonghi; the machine had to be shipped back to them. The machine was returned. It worked for a few weeks; i was afraid to use the milk frothing steamer was not used. Then the descale light appeared. Once more the descale process would not work. The coffee machine would not do anything, no coffee, no descaling. It will be returned again. I am not certain I received my machine. It was purchased at $699.99. This machine is very disappointing. I was looking forward to cappuccino, which is fantastic in Italy.
