It was as easy as open the package, gear up, sample, fill out paperwork, send back to the lab for analysis. Our test came with one swab and two tape strips. We used one tape on our moldy ceiling, one tape on our discolored belongings and then the swab to collect varies areas within our attic. This test showed us mold that was not detected by a previous air spore trap sample. This test showed us that we had numerous different dangerous genus of mold in high concentrations.This test will tell you the genus and quantity of mold but it will not tell you the specific species in order to ID if your species produces toxins.-Air sample-collects mold spores from air that have been released from mold, test will show genus and quantity.-Swab/Tape sample-collects samples of actual mold, test will show genus and quantity.HERTSMI-collects dust from entire household, test will analyze the DNA of all mold present identify if any of the 5 most common mold are present.
