The width of the pad is 24 inches/ 74 inches long. Traditional folding chairs are around 18 inches wide, so you might have a little extra pad on each side. We reccomend blowing up the pad half way. I bought this as a replacement for a misplaced mattress. With no comparison this is a good mattress. Initially I was not pleased because it is long. But it is a standard length. Upon inflation with a pump, it inflates fairly quickly. It has tiny compression pillows that are wonderful when inflated ( you can't see them until you inflate). It deflates easily and folds compactly. It fits into my onboard bag as it isn't my larger than a 16 oz. Cup.Good investment for a great night's rest.Great for camping and traveling (great for hotel rooms).
