In addition to being a support handle, it can be used in an emergency to break a window if needed — which adds an extra layer of safety. It’s small, lightweight, and very convenient to keep in the car door or glove compartment. I personally used it as well after back surgery, and it was incredibly helpful. It allowed me to get out of the car without putting too much pressure on my back or needing someone to physically pull me up.
