It is so much better than that! It is actually a freezer-refrigerator like in your kitchen but a little smaller. I set it on 5 and the water in the refrigerator section FROZE. Keep it on about 4. VERY cold beer in the fridge. Freezer section is larger than expected. CONS: You have to de-ice the freezer manually once in awhile. GREAT PURCHASE I MADE ON PRIME DAYS!!!

Ordered this for a dorm. Unboxed it to plug in and be sure it would work before we took it to the student - I saw some things about the freezer not working very well and wanted to check it before it was too late, and there are 2 seemingly large dents in it. Works great, but not ideal to spend money on something and it be dented like this!
