There is not much assembly; you need to put maybe 2 things together and then you just attach it to your table using the little turning lever, and it will hold in place to pretty much any table surface; everything else was already assembled which made it very easy. It comes with an extra ball and an extra 2 small metal pieces in case you ever need to replace the original ball that is already set up. There is an extra white clip intended to hold the clear tube in place at the bottom so it doesn't fly off when hitting it a lot, and I'm pretty sure you need pliers to to secure it as they show in the pictures. I haven't even attached it yet because the tube stays very secure and you shouldn't be hitting this thing THAT hard anyway lol... The clamp is way too small and doesn't fit any of our tables, including the Joola, Xiom and Butterfly tables.
