I gave it a try and was never disappointed - I think it still is in working condition somewhere, despite all the years of abuse. Today I have several different Fenix lights and totally love them. You never know when you'll drop an item in the dark or find yourself in a poorly lit place. There are 5 modes plus strobe. I think the max mode only runs for a limited time due to heat. Even on the lowest mode, it provides enough light for safe navigation. Mode 2 or 3 might be more useful for piecing something back together though. Light throw distance is good considering it's size. It's not 1000+ lumens and you wouldn't expect that, considering the specs. Size wise, it's smaller than more popular flashlights. It's only a few inches long and that let's fit fine in front pocket of my Bellroy Sling lite. If it were longer, it would impact the flexibility of the bag. Charges with USB C. Momentary push button and full press for on. Overall very nice flashlight. One minor con is that the mode button is a bit hard to find in the dark (go figure).
