I have tried this HyperX DuoCast quite a bit. It appears to be made of high quality materials and the value is good. This USB microphone supposedly offers hi-resolution 24-bit/96kHz recording for accurate, low-noise audio. It features a customizable RGB light ring and two polar patterns, cardioid and omnidirectional, for different recording setups. The tap-to-mute sensor and gain control knob make it easy to manage your sound on the fly. It comes with a low-profile shock mount that keeps the setup compact on your desk. I am glad it works with PC, Mac, and consoles because my computer has more personalities than a soap opera 🖥️ It is awesome. My advice is to download the NGENUITY software immediately to dim the lights if you find them too distracting during late-night gaming. It is a solid, versatile choice for Discord or streaming without taking up too much room 🎧🕹️

I've bought this mic solely for video conferencing and it does its job really well. I was initially concerned with having an echo, as I wanted to get rid of the headphones during long hours of meetings at work. However, I'm pleased to confirm that there's no echo whatsoever in any video conferencing software I use (GMeet, Zoom and Teams), although I've got a speaker right behind the mic. Initially I was surprised that their software isn't available for Mac, however I found out that it's not really required for my needs at least as everything was working perfectly straight out of the box. I literally haven't changed a single setting and was able to jump straight into the meeting with my voice being heard "crisp and clear" as reported by everyone I talked to with since I bought this mic. Additional bonus for "touch to mute/unmute" functionality. It's much easier to use than searching for mute button within the conferencing software. Also you're not shown as "muted", which might be both a con or a pro depending on your use case, just something to be aware of.

I’ve been using this HyperX microphone for my YouTube videos, and overall, it’s been pretty great. The audio quality is clear, and it does a good job picking up my voice without much background noise. It’s super easy to set up, which I really appreciate—just plug it in and go. The design looks cool, especially with the lighting, and it feels sturdy on my desk. That said, I did notice it picks up some desk vibrations if I bump into it, but nothing too major. For the price, it’s a solid mic for beginner to intermediate content creators. If you’re looking for something reliable and stylish without breaking the bank, this is a good choice!

This mic is really, really nice for the money. The touch to mute is a really big boon here over the Blue Yeti (which I replaced with this mic) since a light tap will mute & turn the light off vs the Blue which has a very dodgy button (I know several people who have/had one that said the same thing, you push, you click, and it's hard to get it to trigger and the entire time the chat is hearing you CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK annoyingly). This is my problem with the mic, I had to download separate software to raise the db because this mic for some reason is set very, low in windows (-6db) and jacking up the gain will only cause problems if you go too high. So after that adjustment? Things are a lot better, make sure you do not turn on "High pass" in NGENUITY app for this mic because it makes you sound terrible. You do not need it. I didn't test the AI Noise Reduction because I use Nvidia Broadcast's noise reduction which- with the basic mic stand this comes with, on my desk? With a mechanical keyboard? Doesn't get picked up. (Still probably worth investing in a better mic stand/arm/etc. I think it sounds a bit better than the Blue, I can't argue with the quality of the mic, it's small, has a nice stand and comes with the bungy isolation set up you usually have to buy separately. Using it is super easy and if you're into RGB you can have the RGB ring doing all sorts of stuff. I just have 1 color so it's obvious when it's on or muted. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the low audio by default, I don't have a clue why it's like that because I had to download an entirely different app to tell windows to force it to 0db instead of -6db. This is a plug n' play mic and I shouldn't have to look on the internet to find solutions to such a dumb issue. I was going to get the quadcast till I saw that this has better audio quality AND cheaper with the only downside being less patterns, you only get cardioid & onmi-directional. And being a solo-streamer- those options aren't worth it.

I love, love, love this microphone! One of my hypnosis clients used it in her session (I do my sessions on Zoom) and the sound was crystal clear and she had it stationed above her so I just had to get it. It is SO good and so clear and I could not be happier. It really does block out all the background noise. I will sit right next to it typing notes as the client is speaking and you cannot hear the clicking of my keyboard and the clients cannot hear my dog when it occasionally barks either. Super happy with this.

I bought this mic for my son and it came broken part of the plastic, I wrote this because the seller sent another one immediately. The mic is amazing quality has great lights and works great with his gaming. It has a mute button easily assesible. This mic is worth the money and this seller is great! So make sure you get it from them. We’ve had it a couple years as well so long quality.

Absolutely love it! Might upgrade to the Quadcast at some point for more options and customization where as the Duocast, is a bit limited in comparison.

SINCE IMMERSING INTO HEADSETS IN 2010 ISH. IVE KNOWN NOTHING BUT HEADSET MICS... BUT BUDS HURT AND DOONT LAST, AS OVER EAR. NONE WITH "GGLASSE" COMFORT TRUELY DO, AND MY ARCTIS NOVA PRO WIRELESS ARE JUST TOO TIGHT AFTE MINIMUL GAMEPLAY. I NOW USE SPEAKERS, AND STREAM PALYING GAME/MUSIC IN ROOM, AND MIC ONLY GETS ME! aWESOME 1ST MIC CHOICE!

Ho acquistato questo microfono per completare il mio ecosistema HyperX. Lo utilizzo principalmente per parlare con amici e per qualche sporadica live streaming, e devo dire che funziona alla perfezione: la mia voce risulta chiara e pulita. In confezione si trova un supporto per posizionarlo sulla scrivania e un cavo USB-C da 2 metri. Io l’ho installato su un braccio per microfono e, grazie allo shock mount integrato, le vibrazioni vengono assorbite in modo eccellente: anche toccando accidentalmente l’asta, non si percepiscono rumori fastidiosi. Molto comoda la funzione mute: basta un leggero tocco sulla parte superiore per disattivare il microfono, e i LED si spengono per indicare chiaramente lo stato. L’anello RGB offre diversi effetti e colori personalizzabili; essendo addressable, consente anche animazioni multicolore contemporanee. Sul retro si trova una manopola ruotabile e cliccabile: ruotandola, si regola il gain (con i LED che mostrano visivamente il livello impostato); premendola, si passa tra le due modalità disponibili: -Cardioide, che cattura solo la voce frontale; -Omnidirezionale, che registra a 360 gradi. Anche in questo caso, i LED indicano chiaramente la modalità in uso (solo frontale o anello completo). Tutte queste funzioni sono gestibili anche tramite software, che al momento risulta ancora un po’ acerbo, ma HyperX ha annunciato una nuova versione in arrivo entro fine anno, con più effetti RGB e opzioni di personalizzazione. Speriamo mantengano la promessa! In sintesi: microfono eccellente, con ottima qualità audio, design curato e tante funzioni utili. Perfetto sia per chi cerca un setup gaming completo HyperX, sia per chi vuole un microfono plug-and-play di livello alto.
