My daughter won't keep this as a collectors item and intends to play with it. Are the shoes and dress removable or permanently attached?

From pictures of doll, shoes look like they are removable. Boxes are sealed so cannot see how dress is closed in back. It looks as it is removable but Mattel does not state.
