BARTON Canvas Quick Release Watch Band Straps

I purchased a 2nd band after putting the first one through some abuse, and I'm here to sum it all up. Band installation is easy, no tools needed to install / remove (but look at the band you're replacing cause factory bands usually need tools). Canvas is great for getting wet / sweaty. Color held up great over the last year. Wore for at least 150 days (workouts, underwater, even a half dozen trips through the ocean) and the only reason I'm replacing is it didn't hold up to really high sulphur hot springs. It became discolored and turned brown. I thought it might but I wanted to see if it would surprise me again, but it still works. Love these canvas bands for my daily use.

I just received my new Barton canvas watch strap. My initial impression is that it appears to be very well-made. The material is double thickness and stitched full length, with additional stitching around stress points such as the buckle holes and the holes where the quick release lever of the watch pin pokes through. I think the layered canvas is probably glued together as well as stitched. Of course, right out of the box the strap is pretty stiff, but I’m confident it will loosen up with wear. Mine seems perfectly at home on a Seiko SRP775, a fairly large diver with a 22mm lug distance. On my 7.5 inch wrist I’m using the middle of the ten buckle holes. Perfect. Because Seiko divers typically use what are called “fat bars” – spring bars that are thicker in both the body and tips than most, I swapped out the Barton provided adjustable bars. Some aftermarket straps don’t have a large enough hole to accommodate the fat bars, but that’s not a problem with the Barton. Removal of the quick release spring bars was easy, and the fat bars slipped right in. As stated, the strap is brand new so I can’t yet comment on how it will hold up over time, but first impressions are good. If like me you’re looking for a rugged alternative to the ubiquitous NATO straps, these Bartons are worth a look.

I give this watch band four stars despite the obvious heavy wear you see in these photos. I am hard on my daily wear watch. This band is almost exactly one year old, it and rarely comes off my wrist. I sweat in it, I hike in it, it comes in the ocean, the dirt, the sand, I sleep in it, I shower in it, I work outside in it, I chop wood, I dig holes, you get the point. Have I had MORE durable watch straps? Yes. Have I had less? Oh yeah. For the money, I am perfectly happy with how this has lasted. It looks good, is easy to install, and I’ll probably be ordering another shortly.

Beautiful and vivid color the nantucket blue, good quality canvas material and finish, not many options out there in 19mm, happy how it complements my Citizen.

This is my first canvas watch strap and I can’t believe how comfortable it feels in relatively hot and humid weather. Why didn’t I think of this before? Because Amazon gives us all the options without being pushy. Couldn’t resist to mention that. I never thought I’d buy grey as a color either but my wife wasn’t nearby when I added it to my cart so there you have it. Now that I put it on a watch with a dark grey dial, it’s obvious that this was the right option. Understated high quality makes for great value at this price. It’s soft on the skin yet sturdy. Very easy to put on and the perfect thickness and weight (right in the middle between thin and too heavy). I love it!

Purchased this canvas band for my Garmin vivoactive 3. It fit well and looked great, so I went ahead and ordered a Barton buckle in gunmetal grey to better match my Garmin watch styling vs. the bright stainless steel buckle. After a couple days, the stitching in the canvas band started to come loose. (Some other reviewers also had this issue.) I contacted Barton and they sent out a replacement canvas band, as well as a free silicone strap for my inconvenience. Excellent customer service. The replacement canvas band arrived and I installed it. The stitching looked better, so I was pleased. But when I woke up in the morning, the band had detached from one side of my device in the night. I assumed I had put it on incorrectly, and reattached it. A few hours later, the pin detached again and my watch fell onto the hard concrete. After the third time the band detached and fell off, I contacted Barton again. They asked me if I had a Garmin vivo device. Once I confirmed, they quickly sent (copy/paste) a lengthy and very detailed explanation saying they receive mixed comments from Garmin customers, did their own research with a Garmin vivomove HR device, and claimed Garmin was "dancing to the beat of its own drum" vs. using a standard 20mm lug width. They apologized and said they would issue me a refund. I can only attest to the three Barton bands I received. The first canvas band fit great, but the stitching fell apart at the seams. The replacement canvas band repeatedly came disconnected from my device and is unusable - stitching looked better. The complimentary silicone band fit great and stayed connected. I compared the two canvas bands and can definitely see with the naked eye that the pin that keeps coming loose is shorter than the one in the band that stays attached. I don't believe it's a Garmin issue, but rather a quality control issue with the Barton bands...at least with the three bands I had to compare. That being said, the company has awesome customer service. They replied to all my messages promptly, tried to resolve my issue, and refunded my money when they couldn't. Thought I'd write this review for other Garmin vivoactive 3 wearers who want to give this band a try. Yours may fit perfectly, or it may not. The seller seems willing to refund money when it does not. It's worth the risk in my opinion since the band looks great when it fits properly. Just be prepared to catch your watch in mid-air if it detaches. I'd give this band five stars if I received one that had good stitching AND two pins that fit properly. Onto searching for a different brand...

Exactly what I expected

La correa no ha respondido a las expectativas. La calidad del material y las terminaciones es muy pobre, no tiene el grosor que aparenta en las fotos y es bastante rígida, la he recibido hoy pero tiene pinta de no aguantar en condiciones el uso habitual. Es bastante corta de longitud, tengo una muñeca delgada y apenas puedo pasar las dos trabillas. El metal del cierre es de buena calidad y el sistema rápido de cambio es facil de usar. Entiendo que una correa de este tipo de calidad suele ser mucho más cara, pero la relación calidad precio me parece mala. Una decepción, no la recomiendo. Devuelta está misma tarde

A falta de ver cómo embejece se ve muy bien y de buena calidad, muy contento.

Me gusta mucho esta correa de tela. He dado un toque más moderno a mi reloj automático clásico. La correa es muy cómoda para el uso diario y es muy cómoda y rápida la extracción. Así alterno la correa de tela con una de silicona que uso cuando hago deporte.
