I put it at the end of my signal chain and use the Gramophone setting to sound like my music I coming off of a warped and wobbly vynil record.

I wanted this to do some experimental music with my french horn. Haven't played much with a guitar yet, but for the money, I would say this is great - does exactly what you want. Very cheap purchase so you can't go wrong.
