Works perfectly. I am super happy with the quality and how well it works. I never realized how hard my water was until I got this shower filter. I actually can see a difference in my completion and my skin doesn't feel so dry. That's probably the biggest reason I like this one so much. Also, I like the fact that it has a digital display to remind you to replace the cartridge. There was no lingering smell from chlorine or the occasional sulfur smell. I've also been concerned about a contaminant that has been detected in my city's drinking water, using this filter offers me additional assurance.The installation went as smooth as described - remember there are two caps to remove from the filter! - and the unit installed securely and leak free between the spigot and the flexible water line connecting to the hand-held shower wand. This is not going to entirely correct a hard water issue, but the water quality is much improved. We also use a shower dental pick and run it through the filter and it helps greatly. Teeth feel clean and water tastes good. Very happy with the quality of this product.The reason for the deduction of a star is two-fold... One, it did reduce the water pressure despite claims by other reviewers and the seller that there is no concern of water pressure reduction. If others did not notice this, my suspicion is that they did not have a major water pressure issue to begin with. That having been said, it was not a massive reduction so it seems better than other filters I have tried, but indeed still a reduction in pressure. I'm not sure this is something entirely able to overcome if you want to use a filter in a low-pressure situation, but just know that if you indeed have low-pressure water, this is going to reduce it further - though, as mentioned previously, not as much as many of the other options available (and I have tried several over the months).The second reason for the deduction of the star is that this is a bit of an awkward installation design. It's larger than some other designs, making installation somewhat inconvenient and less than ideal. I would have preferred there was no ball joint because my shower head has this already. If you are intending to use this to support a rain shower head, extra weight on this may be an issue. I would prefer a fixed connection and not a movable one. However, if you are simply using this for a hand-held shower head connection, it shouldn't be any issue and may actually prove more versatile in some applications.Overall, this seems to be a quality product for the price-range. The water is noticeably improved and, other than the large size and awkward installation drawbacks, it was not difficult to setup and use.
