Thank goodness I found this brand. My son has naturally thick calves even though he is thin/average build.  I love the semi custom fit!  I will definitely be  purchasing again.  They do tend to stretch a little bit so next time I will size down a tiny bit.

The REAL width of the half chap actually starts 1" shorter than the posted size. They STRETCH 1" to fit the posted calf circumference, and I assume that this is for grip and leg compression. So you can't, say, order a 16" width if you have 17" calves - it won't work. Hope that helps everyone!
