This is clearly a well-behaved, easy-flowing ink, but not overly wet. Should work fine in most pens, even ones which tend toward dryness. The brown leaves a pleasing line, and is an attractive color if you have been avoiding trying this color region of inks. Seen en masse in a paragraph or as a page, it looks good. Just a touch of red livens it, but not so much that you'd see itin tbe ink if not looking for it. Certainly not a "dull brown" in any sense. For most people, it is a toss up between this and Waterman's. As expected, the Diamine is the more saturated. So base your choice on that and maybe by having a quick look at samples displayed online, although I think "swatches" are misleading; go by the writing samples.
