## Description

The story revolves around two childhood friends Arjun and Munnu who find a way to get from a small village in India to Wembley as Rock stars, having overcome their personalities.

Review: Jealousy - In one word, this movie was about music & jealousy. Arjun (played by Ajay Devgn) from childhood always wanted to be a " Rock Star " and worked hard to develop the skills and to make that happen. His childhood friend, Mannu (played by Salman Khan) always wanted to live life to the fullest ( read wine, women, and song) and had natural talent, basically he was gifted, but didn't take it very seriously. Arjuns bring Mannu to London from Punjab to be a part of his music group - and during their first concert realizes that Mannu has something that he covets: talent ! He is angry with God, angry with Mannu who is just having fun doing gigs, and angry at himself and realizes that he has to destroy his friend Mannu in order to meet the goals and dreams he set for himself. This is the first movie I've seen with Arjay Devgn as a lead. He was excellent and acted this role to perfection. He was the total package from the look, personae, and fabulous clothing - he was intense. SK's role as the country bumpkin in the big city was priceless and at times showcased his comedic timing brilliance. He didn't have a clue what was being done to him and played it that way. I loved, loved the music."Tapke Masti" and "Khanabadosh" are two of my favs from this movie. But I think all of the music is good. So, if you want to be entertained, have some drama, but basically feel good. London Dreams is one of my choices- you'll watch it more than once for sure.
Review: Is this even legit? - I really liked this movie when it came out and was surprised that I was able to find a DVD for it so many years later especially since there aren't that many credible sites available in the US to buy bollywood movies from anymore. I would give this DVD a high rating HOWEVER I can't because halfway through (1hr:23min mark to be exact) it starts skipping and then freezes. You're literally just sitting there watching a frozen screen. I first tried watching it on my PS4 and it froze, then I tried it on my computer, the same thing. I think I got a FAULTY disc or something. I wish this wasn't the case cause now im back to searching for a credible source for my dvds again

### ⭐ Is this even legit?

### ⭐⭐⭐ Worth Watching
*by J***R on February 10, 2010*

Rock bands in the West--and movies about them--are expected to embrace certain clichés: misunderstood artists, rifts over professional jealousy and women, self-destructive behavior, and Lenny Kravitz-style attire. On-stage squabbles (think Oasis), while rare, are greatly appreciated. 'London Dreams' takes the rock-band formula and runs with it. No one does dark and troubled better than Ajay Devgan, whose character, Arjun, the leader of the band, channels his torment into self-denial (and bizarre self-flagellation), leaving the requisite sex and drugs to his best friend and bandmate, Mannu, played by Salman Khan, who steals the show, just as his character does in the story. Arjun and Mannu are childhood pals from a village in India, and they share a love of music. Arjun goes to London to become a rock star while Mannu stays behind and ekes out a living performing at weddings. (Actor Akshay Kumar--known for playing tough, rural simpletons--had better look out because Khan's macho bumpkin has much more intriguing depth than Kumar's two-dimensional characters.) Arjun forms a band with Zoheb and Wasim (Rannvijay Singh and Aditya Roy Kapoor), two brothers from Pakistan, and Priya (Asin), a girl from an ultra-conservative south Indian family. Arjun never wavers from his focus on his career by acting on his secret desire for Priya. Eventually, Mannu joins the band as well. He's a fun-loving, sweet-talking musical genius who upstages the less-talented but obsessively driven Arjun and wins Priya's heart. Insanely jealous, Arjun retaliates during the band's European tour by luring Mannu into drug addiction and promiscuous sex. Mannu happily engaged in the latter but not the former back in India, and because of his pleasure-seeking nature, he takes to cocaine like a feline to catnip. Arjun thereby destroys Mannu's budding romance with Priya but also sabotages the entire band's future and Arjun's own goal of stardom. The soundtrack is average, but so is most Western pop music these days, and since world music is always hip, it's believable enough that a mediocre Hindi band could fill London's Wembley Stadium--and then, like all good rockers, screw up their success. - The Bollywood Ticket: The American guide to Indian movies (Subscribe: The Bollywood Ticket )
