My guess is the non-cotton fabric they use that's causing this. To remedy this I plan to wash them in super hot water tonight and dry them for about an hour again on the hottest setting which should shrink them a bit. If this doesn't work I'll either just cuff them or have a tailor bring them in. Next time though, I'll buy a 38x30 and those should fit perfectly.- I like how they're, "Stretchy" and they fit well around the waist and seat.- They do sit below the waist a bit, and appear to be just a tad, "Snug" in the seat area but that could just be me trying them on right out of the box.- They appear to be comfortable and they look really nice. (I got the Navy blue).- The straight fit is nice as it's not as, "Billowy" as the boot cut which looks a bit funny when you're wearing nicer shoes, but concurrently give your legs a bit more room vs. the slim fit which can be a bit constraining. (I have muscular legs, love doing squats so this was important to me.)- Remember the nice things about corduroy's is they're know as, "Gentleman's Jeans." What I mean by this is, if you want to be a bit dressier, cords are a great look in this regard. You can wear them to the office on a casual Friday particularly during the cooler months and still look dressed up particularly if you wear a nice pair of shoes. Instead of dressing like an office drone and wearing tan chino's/kakis' try some cords instead and they really work. You can also make them more casual by wearing sneakers, I love the Puma suede sneakers (fashion sneakers) as I can't wait to mate my Navy cords with my navy Puma Suede sneakers for a sleek, modern winter look that's casual, sporty & preppy. (Well in my opinion anyway.)Hope this helps!Alex ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Wash is worth the extra effort *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 23, 2020* The fit of the 514 is too loose on my slim body. However, I knew this going in and still purchased these jeans for one reason, the wash. Rigid Envy is one of the best Levi’s and denim washes on the market today. The look is so clean rich and dark that I am willing to purchase this style and pay the extra cost of having a tailor alter them to fit. In an ideal world, Levi’s would still offer this wash in the 513 or 511 fits but since those have been discontinued, I will take my chances on being able to adjust the 514. The ‘Raw’ wash provides little to no stretch but I am okay with a sturdy denim. I say ‘Raw’ because Levi’s is know to wash their Rigid Washes (or ‘Raw’) once to minimize the transfer of dyes. That being said I plan on washing these as little as possible if never (and freezer clean) in hopes of maintaining the deep tone the Rigid Envy has to offer. I started with two pairs of the Rigid Envy and one pair of the Tumbled Rigid in the same style and hope I will be able to stock up on additional pairs so I can never be without this perfect and versatile denim look. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Game Changer! *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 12, 2016* I've been wearing Express jeans for the past few years. They look alright but they have no mobility and are pretty uncomfortable in general. I'm 5'9" 215 lbs and have pretty decent size butt and thighs from weight training etc. I've been struggling my whole adult life to find the perfect pair of jeans that give a tailored look but also provide a certain level of comfortable movement. A friend told me about the Levi 541 motion pants and happened to have an extra pair that were too small so he gave them to me and I was absolutely FLOORED by how comfortable they were. They fit amazing but still had just a little bit of room in the thigh/butt area so after reading up on the 514's I decided to buy a pair. I was again was blown away at the comfort level and agility and they seem to hug my legs just a little bit more than that 541's do. They fit so perfect that I would go as far to say that it almost feels like I'm not wearing any pants at all.
