Quality Product, well made. I was looking for a water timer where I do not have to keep replacing batteries often. This one fits the bill perfectly. Delivered the next day. Set up was straightforward and took just 5 minutes to download the app, connect the hub to router and register the hub + tap unit. The app is intuitive and there are so many features which give assurance that the product shall ensure safe operation of watering the garden. I have tested the timing and it has worked flawlessly. Such a peace of mind with upcoming heatwave ..guilt free holiday knowing that there garden is watered in our absence.

Outstanding bit of kit Reliable as can be

I’ve been using the LinkTap D1 with the 2-zone timer for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the system connected to my Wi-Fi and phone app without any issues. The interface is intuitive, and scheduling watering times is a breeze. One of my favorite features is the built-in flow meters – it’s incredibly useful to monitor water usage per zone, and the real-time fault detection gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll be notified instantly if something goes wrong. The weather-adaptive watering feature is a great bonus too, automatically adjusting the schedule based on rain or temperature changes. The build quality is solid, and the connection has been reliable. I also really appreciate the detailed insights and remote control capabilities – makes managing the garden so much easier, especially when I’m away. My previous watering system was a Gardena single outlet. It was digital but all adjustments where made on the built in screen which was a pain, when it started playing up decided to try the dual Linktap. Very good product and excellent build quality. Easy to fit. You need to hard wire the gateway there is no wi-fi connection for the gateway itself. Range is very good even through multiple walls. One function that I liked on my previous model was the ability to alter the interval between watering on the fly. So you could change between 24hrs, 12hrs, 8hrs etc. With this item you have set up separate watering plans for each period during the day, no repeating the same plan. Nice to have the dual option, I don't have a large garden but it nice to get the full pressure by watering with an offset by a few minutes. Great for the lazy people we have become, just sit on the sofa and adjust to your hearts content and leave the actual gardening to the wife LOL.

Last year we lost many plants while we were on vacation due to a prolonged drought. Replacing them proved costly so this year we decided to set up an automatic watering system as such 'extreme weather' seems increasingly common. The LinkTap water timer looked robust and well-designed so we opted for it even though it's slightly more expensive than rival models. Having used it for several weeks, this seems to have been a good decision - it's easy to set up, highly controllable and works reliably. We opted for the two outlet model (model D1) so that one outlet controls a 13mm supply hose (from Hozelock and fitted with universal dripper units) running along flowerbeds on the lefthand side of the garden while the other controls the hose on the righthand side. This arrangment means there are no worries about possible low water pressure as we can irrigate one side of the garden first, then the other. The hardware is robust and well-designed. There was a minor problem with the physical installation of the water timer unit due to its width (~163mm). The easiest way to attach it to our threaded tap was to rotate the unit clockwise until it fitted snugly. However, its width meant that it barely cleared the brick wall during rotation. Other than that, installation was easy. Installation of the app and creation of a watering plan was also easy. I particularly like the way the app informs you about the water flow rate. This allows you to fine-tune the system after installation to deliver the optimum amount of water to your plants. It's clear that a great deal of thought went into the design of this versatile software - even down to the judiciously-chosen gurgling sound effect!

Easy to use and set up, worked reliably for a full season so far.

Worked fine for 2.5 years and then… Got a new Virgin Media hub (router). The LinkTap gateway failed to successfully connect to the internet (DNS & IMAP) problems. Neither LinkTap nor VM have a solution - the LinkTap gateway MUST be connected via Ethernet and it uses a proprietary Zigbee system so I’m stuck LinkTap and Virgin media are incompatible!

The taplink arrived very quickly, within 2 days, the instructions are very precise and the installation super simple. The gateway found its connection with the internet immediately, the outside taplink found its connection to the gateway without any problems, and of course the app on the phone works without a squeak. All in all it is very intuitive and never overwhelms one by being to complicated. I’m pleased with the solidity of the case, we shall see over time how it ages but I would qualify it as solid quality. Setting up watering schedules is also intuitive and simple, the input from the weather forecast seems accurate. I am also pleased to see that you can purchase othe taplink products, if needed one can extend the devices while staying within the same system, this is a plus. Overall a recommended product, and the support (Which I have not needed) seems very good

Zero regrets with this product, overly satisfied. We love the 2 valve LinkTap timer. I have a 2 zone irrigation system running 3/4 poly to 150sqft raised garden with approximately 20 drip and spray heads and 1/2 poly to about 20 drip heads for potted plants and planters. The timer has been a huge step up for our gardening. Simple setup, high quality build, zero leaking, and a great app with nice options like rain skip, weather tracking, multiple pre built scheduling templates to choose from, spending tracking, historical reporting and a big bonus of a web UI to access your timer from a PC/MAC browser. We will likely build out our install with more LinkTap products.

Excellent product. Was a bit worried that the tap would leak or burst, but it is working like a dream. Very easy to set up and lots of flexibility in the types of watering programs you can use. Have one garden bed on every day and the other on alternate days

This works great. I worried about the distance from the Gateway connected to the router to the Timer in my back yard which is all the way outside through the house about 100 feet away. It connected right away. The flexibility of this device is really good. Set by duration or total flow. You have many different settings to check on integrity of the system running properly. Today it skipped a cycle due to rain. I live in Socal, California, USA. I am only using one side right now. I linked on Alexa so you can check some things on there. Linked right away. The App is user friendly and easy to set up a watering plan. To me, this package does the job of systems costing much more. Although I have a Raccio timer for my other lines I did want my raised bed to be controlled seperately due to the lower pressure. Hard to see on the picture but I have the timer, then the pressure regulator\filter, thene the backup preventer, the the adapter to the 1\2 inch main feeder line. (the black connectors). I would highly recommend this unit for anyone wanting an excellent timer with little experience in irrigation.
