Was not able to fall asleep with the constant hum. With no other option, I grabbed the tool box and started to take it apart. It turns out, during manufacturing, someone thought it would be a good idea to twist 2 wires straight from the battery together and wrap it with electrical tape. ELECTRIC TAPE! on a diving ventilator with the sole intention of being on the WATER!!! This caused a short in the control unit and...well...it can not shut off or turn on either now. Follow up: Cronda has reviewed the claim and said electric tape is, in fact, a suitable wiring solution. Please dont buy this product.
