Review: Great for smoking! - I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I got my shipment of these wood chunks in. I’ve been experimenting with smoking woods about a year ago and started off with wood chips. Chunks is the way to go! These are nice sized chunks and the flavor they give the meat I smoked was far superior than the chips I was using. So far I’ve used both hickory and pecan - they’ve been great so far! Can’t wait to experiment with the other wood chunks.
Review: Well seasoned, true hardwood - This was fantastic. I used only chunks of this for a few cooks and got a very sweet, seductive, smokey smell in the air and on my food. I then ran out and was forced to used chunks for the big box store and my goodnesses, they gave such off-putting, sooty, ashy smells. You can tell JC sells seasoned wood that is 100% the hardwood he says it is. Highly recommended, just wish he'd add some red oak ;)

This was fantastic. I used only chunks of this for a few cooks and got a very sweet, seductive, smokey smell in the air and on my food. I then ran out and was forced to used chunks for the big box store and my goodnesses, they gave such off-putting, sooty, ashy smells. You can tell JC sells seasoned wood that is 100% the hardwood he says it is. Highly recommended, just wish he'd add some red oak ;)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great addition for good smoke and flavor

The chunks always come with the bag completely filled - which is great. With the offset smoker for a 3lb salmon filet or a 5-7lb pork shoulder my husband is using 3-5 chunks per cook to add flavor. Can you use more? Surely! We aren’t using the chunks to build the fire as much as to add a hint of flavor and sometimes as a way to up the heat on longer cooks (like brisket). We don’t soak these like you do for wood chips - no need. The wood is always amazing from this seller.
