Tho I think he loved more of the novelty of it and it entertained him, but he say the he did enjoy the way it wrote. I had tried it but didn't really care for the tip of the pen, but I am very picky about my pen tips. To me, it felt like that part was the same as a very cheap pen, but it still worked and got the job done, main part, my brother loves the pen and the way it writes. It took him longer to figure out how to close than anything.

Bought this as a present for my brother for christmas last year. He wanted one after seeing a video from a dentist's office with the pen in it. He absolutely loved it. Cheaply made, won't last long, but is really neat. Just wish they used better materials, this could've potentially been a really great pen. Price point is way too high, to the point where I almost feel robbed.
