I have a raised flower bed on front of my porch. For years, the deer paid no attention. Last year they discovered they like the taste of my Whopper Begonias. I was devastated. The area is shaded so I did some research and found that deer don't like Coleus. My Coleus thrived and looked beautiful till one morning when I got up and found half of the bed destroyed. So much for them not liking Coleus. I tried peppermint oil, a combination of oils, a solar deterrent. Nothing worked. I bought this product but didn't have much hope. The smell was enough to knock me out. I watched on camera to see if the deer approached the Coleus but they didn't. Same thing the next night. Third night I sprayed some more. Gag. I watched on camera as the deer approached the flower bed but backed up. Fourth night- deer again approached the flower bed but stayed at a slight distance and ate some grass instead. The smell dissipates quickly so I can't smell it but apparently the deer could. I'm amazed! I'm thrilled! I hope the eaten Coleus will recover now. Thank you for a great product! BUT...the spray is a very fine mist. DO NOT use this if there is even a hint of a breeze.
