I have 4 large stage IV ulcers and using a tube a week. I really need a more cost effective way to heal them. Manuka Honey is definitely the answer. I use a much larger jar and sterile cotton tipped applicators which are easier to use for these particular wounds. Have tried many products for would healing over the years and Manuka honey has shown the most impressive results in both debridement and new tissue growth. Because of Manuka Honey they are close to healed and I thought surgery would be the only answer and that has it's own risks. Because of the antibacterial and antimicrobial properties of Manuka there has been no sign of infection in any of the wounds and considering they are all in the pelvic region that is impressive. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Miracle Cure *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2012* I purchased this after doing research on burns. I was trying to heal a second degree and third degree burn - the antibiotic ointment wasn't working after almost two weeks. As a last resort, before possibly needing a skin graft, I purchased this item specifically because it is UMF certified by the UMF Association - THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT if you're going to try Munuka Honey for its healing properties. The item you buy must be on the list of certified companies which can be found on the UMF Association site. I paid for it to be overnighted so as not to loose one more day of possible healing - it came right on time and after only four full days the skin looks amazing! It's not only soft and smooth but the wound has filled in, no more deep crevasses, blistering or peeling. Will continue to use until the skin is completely healed - so glad it came in a two pack! YAHOO! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Didn't work for my staph infection *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2014* It did not get rid of my staph infection like others claimed. I was very hopeful after reading other reviews, however, it didn't work for me. I applied it to the area for 3 months, twice a day, and while it did seem to heal the outer layer of skin, it did nothing to kill the infection that was on the inside. It was on a repetitive cycle of getting better (or so it seemed) and then the outer layer of skin would erupt again, and the process would start all over again. I tried the honey after 3 failed attempts of antibiotics, so I thought homeopathic was the answer. Finally had to go to a specialist and have it lanced and cleaned out. I also gave it a try on some acne, but didn't seem to do much. If i knew then what I now... i would skipped the honey and gone straight to the specialist months ago.
