Paper Mate Flairs FOR LIFE. Love the line quality. The feel. The reliability. They are an extension of my hand at this point. Like any felt tip, they don't last forever, but they hold up far better than Microns and Pentels. I love the waterbased ink, but do know if you get it wet, it will bleed. And does not bleed through average thickness paper. I use mine for writing and drawing. Nope, not archival quality, but for drawings you will photograph or scan, these are workhorses.

I used these years ago and somehow had forgotten about them — I bought these in bulk after hearing Lynda Barry recommend them, and now I remember why so many artists and writers love them. They have a smooth, consistent flow without bleeding excessively on good-quality paper, and the medium tip strikes a nice balance between precision and expressiveness. I’ve been using them for journaling, sketching, and taking notes, and they’re just fun to write with. The ink is bold and vibrant, the tip holds up well, and the pens feel comfortable even during longer writing sessions. If you’re looking for a dependable felt-tip pen that’s equally at home in a notebook or a sketchbook, these are an excellent choice. They’ve definitely earned a permanent spot on my desk.

Generally very good pens. One of 36 missing (box top open) but fixed by Amazon. Beware at checkout - Some sellers of these (and similar pens) advertise very low prices and then charge excessive - unconscionably high amounts for 'shipping'.

I teach comics and this is the first pen we use. It's an excellent pen for anyone who is beginning to make comics. It has a beautiful black, responds to pressure-- more pressure equals a thicker line, less pressure thinner-- so you can get line weight in a way that microns can't give you. The ink is water soluble though, so it bleeds if you get it wet. It also tends to turn brownish over several years if exposed to light. And it runs dry a bit too quickly. There is a rumor that the the modern Flairs have less ink in them then they used to. If you open one up (you'll need pliers) inside is a surprisingly thin fragile tube made of thin saran-wrap type plastic containing what looks like sponge material and ink. Still, this is a fantastic pen for beginners.

My husband will only use these pens on his sermons and they are so hard to find. Glad to find them here at this price. We tried the knockoff brands, but they just weren’t the quality of the Paper Mate.

Esperaba con ansias estas plumas por que venian muy recomendadas para trabajar. Mi principal desilusion es que la caja llego totalmente abierta y las plumas todas regadas en el sobre. Y por lo que cuesta creo que hay mejores plumas y mas accesible. Aunque si me gusto como escribe, pero no las compraría de nuevo.
