They do a decent job; they are lightweight and after a while you don't feel them under your clothes. My only complaint is that the velcro could be a little bit stronger. They don't fall down when I'm walking around or doing normal activities, but if I jog or run they'll sometimes fall. They still provide weight of course, but it changes the muscles you use.
