Rothco Canvas Nato Medic Bag (Black)

I’ve had this bag for several months now and have been using it for hiking and more frequently as a gym bag. It’s not the most spacious bag but it fit my sneakers, headphones, gloves, straps, car keys, and wallet fairly well. As a small shoulder bag for convenient access to small daily items, it’s just fine. The shoulder strap is adjustable and holds where you set it well. The two leather straps and buckles work well but can be a little finicky. Everything is well made and durable. So far, mine shows no obvious signs of wear at all. Worthwhile item and I would buy again. So long as you don’t abuse it with exposure to extreme conditions and overload its capacity, this bag will last a good long while.

I have a 5 year old Yorkie/Pom mix that was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in July after having seizures. With his medications, leashes, harness and food bowls - traveling with him was a pain, trying to remember which of my bags had his stuff in it. I decided to get him his very own little bag and this is perfect. For the money - I am able to stash the notebook with his medical records, his medication, his travel food bowls, food, treats, additional leash and medication in this little bag. We live in Nashville, and this bag has traveled the 3 hours to Knoxville (where they performed surgery to remove most of the tumor) numerous times and has made 4 round trips to Virginia where we took part of a clinical trial at Virginia Tech. Great construction. The straps can be a bit stiff and tough to unbuckle, but otherwise a great little bag for under 20 bucks! I imagine you would also be able to use this for school. A notebook and maybe a textbook or 2 should fit. ***Update 12/29/16*** This little bag has been great. A second clinical trial worked and my dog is tumor free! That being said, he goes to work with me every Thursday and I carry his food, bowl, treats, and meds in this bag. It's also done a lot of traveling since my first review (6 additional trips to VA, at least 40 trips to work, and a trip to the beach in Florida) still looks brand new! ***Update 07/28/2017*** This little bag is still traveling with us. After a 6 month follow up MRI, we found out his tumor has grown back and spent the month of June taking turns traveling back and forth to UT Knoxville for weekly radiation treatments. It still looks brand new! ***Update*** 10.24.2018 This bag is still in great shape! It’s traveled many many miles. It looks brand new and has been to patio after patio, to beaches, to friends and family, to many vets offices... and still looks brand new. Also - update on Charlie - he’s having seizures once a month due to his brain tumor - but it’s been nearly a year and a half since radiation and he’s still with us! It has turned into a 4 year battle that has been worth it! And this little bag has basically been a part of the journey since nearly the beginning.

Very cool looking bag. Solid construction and heavy duty fabric

The quality of this product was much better than some buyers made it out to be. I originally purchased it for an upcoming jury duty summons after my purse broke, which thankfully I didn't have to attend. This bag is durable; the canvas is strong and sturdy and the stitching is solid. I recently used it to transport a large, 1 1/2 pound client file from a law office. I didn't think it would fit, but I managed to get the entire file into the bag with room to spare. The bag carried everything else I was dragging around with me(2 phones, an iPod, kindle fire, chargers, wallet, keys) with enough room for a lunch bag or a bottle of water, maybe both, but I didn't want to try it with legal documents :) My only complaint with the bag is that the strap isn't quite long enough for me to wear comfortably over the shoulder, however it is thick enough that I can wear it on one shoulder without it slipping off. It stays put; and that makes me happy.

I'm pretty happy with it. My only complaint is that there's a lack of pockets on it. Most messenger bags have a variety of pockets on it, either under the flap, on the inside, or what have you but this has none to speak of. That aside it's a good bag. Not overly large so it's not cumbersome but it is large enough to slide my laptop in along with whatever small tools I need to carry with it. The shoulder strap is just barely long enough to fit comfortably around me. I'm not a big man in the sense of tall(only 5'10") but I am a rather wide man and I like my clothing loose so it's a sure bet anything that I can fit into comfortably should be able to fit most of the population. The black and red colors are very nice. The emblem doesn't seem to be peeling or anything just yet so that's always a plus. The leather straps do seem to be made from a cheap leather and since I don't buckle them up, they're curling in odd directions. But that's no big deal since you can always reshape them or just cut them off. As far as the lack of pockets, I suppose I could always sew some to the inside of it. All in all, I'm happy with it. I got it when it was on sale and, for the price, it was a good deal.

A very simple, basic bag. No pockets or other frills. Very durable, thick canvas with great coloring (I got the black). I pinned the strap because it keep sliding and disconnecting but it was an easy fix. Great value for the money, has become my everyday bag. I can fit my wallet, sunglasses, big iPhone, kindle and various other small things with plenty of room. Love it.

This is a high-quality bag for a low price. It is really durable and strong. I actually used this for a craft project and I ended up taking off the medic label with some nail polish remover. BE WARNED: This is a MEDIUM sized bag. It fits regular sized college ruled notebooks SNUGLY. I used this for college and it barely fit my books for this semester.

I love this bag! As a medical professional, I seemed to always be trying to grab certain items when I run out the door to check on friends or family members (after hours). So I decided to make up a supply bag. I've included a manual sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, penlight, bandage scissors, and pulse oximeter. Need to add some bandages and tape, along with other items. I'll add to the bag as I think of other items. Now, when I leave home, I throw this bag into the car so I always have it handy. The bag is a throw-back to MASH (I ordered the drab olive), with a red cross on the flap. Note that the buckles are real; i.e., they must be truly buckled to close.
